I don't have a country, but if they said "I hate you for your freedom" as a bunch of assholes have tried to convince me of for decades, and they wanted to harm me or my people, I'd exercise those last bits of freedom and defend myself brutally and without hesitation.

If however, a more realistic and sane scenario played out, like them saying "This is what your government did to us!" I'd reply 'yea, here's what they've done to me... all my life..." then give them a ham sandwich and directions to DC, and hope for the best.

That's one of the joys these days! When I was a kid you had to worry about burning film (and money). I wish we had digital SLRs like we do now. I'd have tried a lot more creative shots. All that to say just take the shot, adjust the shutter take it again, adjust it another 'notch' and another, the reset and adjust the aperture and shoot again, adjust it another notch etcetc You can 'find' a lot of good shots, and since the photos retain the shutter and aperture info, you can learn fairly quickly what works best in what situations!

All that said, you got a beautiful picture just the same!

Just having an awful weekend. Stomach bug, and two server migrations to do. EVERY SINGLE THING that could go wrong has.

One is moving to SharePoint 365, so I shutdown the server and changed the comcast modem to do dhcp... Spent THREE HOURS trying to get it to work. When it was obvious it never would I got open DHCP installed on one of the workstations. It gave IPs to TWO systems, the others remain off line and WON'T get an IP from it.

Fuck it, left it as is and decided to get the data migrated. Brought it back to my shop to do the migrate, and setup a VM on another machine to do DHCP.

Had to move some files to migrate them all in one shot, and a former employees files which were more folder layers deep than I have EVER SEEN, moved, but then caused problems. When I tried to move them somewhere else "file in use and can't be moved". Then, the files I JUST MOVED I don't have permissions for. Then I tried to delete something, and it reports that 'the file name in the new destination will be too long'... Trying to DELETE it.

Then the migration agents that worked flawlessly when I tested, now don't work. Reinstall agents, install agent on different PC, sharepoint reports 'One or more agents have warnings. See the status details in Agents.' I check that, agent shows 'running' and OK.

Finally get it to scan and 'start' the migration, and it's been 'waiting for agent' for 20 minutes.

Can't think of anything else that could possibly go wrong, but when it does, I'll let you know.

Because I just find it hard to believe anyone is that much of a freak. I KNOW they are, but it's still 'hard to believe'.

My real point though was just that even if at some point we find that one was faked, it doesn't matter. His 'emperor costume' is enough to know he's likely a sociopath who you don't want to listen to.

See the thing is, the nudeish one is 'hard to believe', but frankly who cares if it's real or not, the other one is enough to know you should take NOTHING he says seriously.

So this brings a couple of thoughts to mind. First, there are few people in this world that I'm genuinely thankful for that are 'beyond arms reach'. Jack is one of them for MANY reasons, and the value he shares with his followers is great.

But particularly, shortly before bitcoin hit $20k for the first time, he said something along the lines of "The people who are early adopters of bitcoin, and there's still time to be one, ..." I don't even remember what he said after that, but the reality of how FEW people actually held this asset finally connected the reality with me.

I'll likely have a manageable retirement, and that is thanks to him ... and working my ass off to get it, once I finally LISTENED.

For the people who have yet to buy in, I get it. Jack was telling people to buy bitcoin LONG before I did. Every time it made a move up, I thought (AGAIN) "I missed it". I got a consult with someone just to be sure I didn't do anything wrong, and THAT DAY it broke $20k... I was tempted to think I missed it again, but rather I waited a few weeks to see if it dipped, but it didn't. I finally bought around $28k. Since then I've bought above that , and below that. And don't regret a bit of it.

Bottom line, as with just about anything I suppose, I would encourage you; don't let regrets for yesterday cause you to make new regrets today.

How long should it take from paying for storage till you can upload something? I paid through the upload mechanism, but nothing happened and if I try to upload it asks me to pay again...?

Same thoughts as on any form of theft. That said when they do it, it will be the same as any other 'monetary policy'; things will get worse and money will be worth less.
