The West is made up of a great many cultural backgrounds, few of which were colonizers, most were immigrants, some are civilized.

The Department of Education has been dumbing down America's education system, to be more inclusive, since 1979. Prior to that, a GED was plenty for most labor jobs, a high school diploma was much more challenging to achieve, and we had one of the best education systems in the world. Now, everyone gets a high school diploma and goes to college, and we rank something like 24th in the world in science, 38th in math, and dead last, as far as I can tell, in history, because we're repeating a proven failure system of government.
