Suit by day (management consultant to financial institutions, advising on capital markets related projects). Bitcoin Maxi under the hood. 📍Heart of Europe

Tired of the corporate media. It’s the same everyday.

Tired of LinkedIn. It’s a waste of time.

If doom scrolling, then Nostr.

During my master's degree, I considered starting a business and took a course in entrepreneurship.

As part of the course, I attended a week-long boot camp at a famed local incubator. I wanted to do something with Bitcoin only, but I wasn't sure what exactly.

To gain insight and connect with like-minded founders, I asked the boot camp instructor (a prominent coach and investor who now runs an even larger incubator in a different city) if he knew any startups in "crypto," particularly Bitcoin.

I still remember his answer as we stood outside on a cold morning having coffee and cigarettes: "Oh yeah, sure, crypto for sure. Plenty." Bitcoin, not that I know of."

Too bad. Guess I haven't been around the right people.

Since then, I have attended many Bitcoin (not Crypto) events and meetups, connected with and listened to Bitcoin founders. Very much thankful for these opportunities.

I'm looking forward to continuing to do so this year, and beyond.

Perhaps one day soon I'll start my own Bitcoin business.

It is absolutely wild that we have come this far

Good start.

How about a proposal to make bitcoin payments equal to fiat payments and have all transactions be tax free?

Oh wait, the good thing is that we don't need their permission to transact in bitcoin.

🤦🏼‍♂️ Dear Financial Times: It’s called Bitcoin2025 (Conference)

Indeed, it's crazy.

In my opinion, the current spec cars are too big and too fast for this track. Even the drivers complain that they cannot practice or qualify properly because there is hardly any space for uninterrupted laps.

I'm not sure if the special "use three compounds" rule will lead to an exciting race.

It's likely that we'll watch yet another procession.

I doubt next year's spec cars will produce better racing, either.

Honestly, the track is no longer suited for modern F1.

At this point, it's a comical, nostalgic vanity affair for the principality and the FiA.

Still, driving the track requires a superhuman level of bravery, skill, and concentration.

For that reason alone, it's exciting to watch.

🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

⚡️🍕 BITCOIN PIZZA DAY - Exactly 15 years ago today, on May 22, 2010, a software developer by the name of Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 #BTC.

A look back at this legendary moment!

It all began on May 18, 2010, when Laszlo was a developer and Bitcoin enthusiast.

He wanted to give BTC a real purpose and came up with a brilliant idea: to do what millions of people do every day - order a pizza.

But it's 2010 and no pizzeria accepts BTC as a means of payment.

So he decided to post a message in the BitcoinTalk Forum:

"I'm willing to pay 10,000 bitcoins for two large pizzas..."

So he offers to exchange 2 pizzas for 10,000 BTC

This is equivalent to about $41.

For 3 days, Laszlo Hanyecz received no positive response.

On May 21, he posted a new message: "So nobody wants to buy pizza from me? Is the amount of bitcoin I'm offering too low?"

The next day, May 22, 2010, Jeremie Sturdivant aka "Jercos", another #Bitcoin enthusiast, replies to Lazlo on the forum and accepts the proposal.

Jeremie had Papa John's deliver two pizzas to a Florida resident (Laszlo).

Jérémie would later confess to having used the 10,000 BTC for expenses on a trip shortly afterwards.

Laszlo receives 2 huge pizzas at home 🍕

This legendary scene has been immortalized forever.

Much more than a simple purchase of pizzas, this transaction is the very first purchase of property with Bitcoin, this moment becomes historic!

Today, 10,000 Bitcoin are worth over $1 billion!

And so, May 22 became Bitcoin Pizza Day

Beyond the symbolism, this event has become a real day of celebration for the Bitcoin & Crypto community!

I'll post all the screenshots in the comments section!

Laszlo you are a legendary pioneer!

Thank you for leading the way.

People are in awe of what those pizzas would be worth today, much like people are in awe of how cheap a newspaper was in 1900.

Few understand the significance.

🍕 Happy pizza day!

Horrible. One of the biggest crimes in recent years for me personally. Wondering how many sliced lips and cheeks saved lose plastic lids. Smh.
