Waxing crescent moon 6:27pm CT tonight, Sat Feb 1. Venus nearby to the right. Both glowed even more brightly as the sky grew darker. Did anyone see Saturn? It was an unusually warm day, even for Texas. I had been singing by a tree outside. As I was preparing to leave, I looked up and was greeted by this sight. Oh and Happy Lunar New Year! The new moon was Jan 29, but looks like folks may be celebrating this weekend as well.

I still remember when I watched it ... I missed seeing it when it aired, but since a friend of mine had been really into it, I think someone lent me their VHS tapes of the series (yes, you read that correctly!)

✨ A mellow moment to ease into 2025, shared with my sister. This rendition of "Silent Night" was part of the Carols for Tots fundraiser for the Miracle Foundation. The 53 carol posts raised 40% more than the donor’s original pledge, and they generously rounded up the final donation in appreciation of the enthusiastic response! ❤️ And thanks to Dad for shooting the take we selected; he was concerned about having a steady hand, but I think he did a great job. :) 📹 🙏 Full disclosure: this fundraiser was in fiat, but I hope it’s still alright to share this musical moment of the season with you, with best wishes for the new year!
