Yup, luckily know enough about asimetric cryptography to understand significance of private key security. Lol. Sadly I'm a minority. My kids and their entire generation have absolute no regard for consideration of privacy or security and watching them store all their password and keys on iCloud text file freaks me out to the bone.

Anyone here into #esp32 programming and using Home Assistant? I am looking to setup Home Assistant OS server and play around with it. I made first attemp few weeks ago but ran a roadblock when Home Assistand setup required internet access to install. You see my lab is on a separate firewalled network where I only give devices internet access when absolutely needed. Home Assistant being potentially the brain of the entire house should not have internet access whatsoever in my opinion. So I was hesitant to give it access. I will see if I can give it selective access this time just to get it going.
Have not ventured into paid relays as of yet, however in gossip I can set which ones I explicitly read from and to which ones my note posts are actually sent. I currently post to 5 relays only.

Welcome to nostr. I am new here as well.
From what I figured so far there are many clients with varying levels of functionality / completeness state. I am using Amethyst on my Android which works fine but not able to find way how to set profile picture.
My main desktop (Windows) client is gossip which also does not implement profile picture uploads.
I found that Iris (for Windows) allows me to set my profile picture so I have set the pic from there and it synchronized across the networks so both Amethyst and gossip now show it properly!
Its bit clunky but between the three clients I think I have all the functionality I need.
