Really been sad to see the volume of bitcoiners who are tricked into the political bullshit. Even on nostr. Was hoping this place would be a better filter.
The top secret middle eastern informant who first clued in U.S. intelligence about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq just copied the description of sarin nerve gas verbatim from the movie The Rock 😂😂

The “greatest country on earth” slogan has been so effective. So many Americans have grown up hearing it in movies and on shows and truly internalized the meme. My friend literally said it to me last week 😂
Yeah it’s pretty insane. Lot of Americans haven’t really traveled either. Or when they do travel they stay in the touristy places and don’t really experience the country they’re in. My sister’s boyfriend was watching Bad Boys 2 on his laptop in Bangkok on the tuktuk and only wanted to eat meatball sandwiches or hamburger. In fucking Thailand 😂
It is cheaper to live in a more aesthetic and more friendly country with better weather. In a lot of other countries the people are more attractive (physically and mentally) and the culture’s are superior. I don’t care that people can make more money in the U.S.. I already got the bag, why stay? I see a lot more reasons to go elsewhere.
100% valid. Some of the behavior I see people doing is really appalling. Like they’re a subspecies that has zero self awareness or empathy.
I am kind to people I don’t know but they have to prove themselves (one way or another) before I treat them like a friend. That’s the way I deal with it.
It’s the exception, not the rule. The only nice buildings in the states are in the cities, and they’re surround by fentanyl addicted drug zombies and trash filled homeless encampments. Feces on the sidewalks, needles in the alleys. I’ve done my time here and I know how it be.
Yeah, I’m not sad though.
There is no denying that America is an ugly country. Most of the population is fat and many stupid too. Every city and town is populated by the same ugly fast food shitholes and chain grocery stores. Dollar general, target, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, 7/11 etc etc. It sucks and I won’t pretend it doesn’t.
There are objectively much better places to be, with happier and healthier people, beautiful architecture, where it costs less to live. Talk yourself out of the easy choice with Emerson quotes but doesn’t work for me.
The U.S. is inferior in a lot of ways to some of the places I’ve been. It’s expensive here, the architecture and aesthetics are straight up ugly, major cities feel less safe and dirtier, and the general culture in the U.S. sucks. Plus I’m not a big fan of having all my comms spied on and stored by the NSA and being subjected to whatever other insane crimes the CIA is perpetrating. The reserve currency money printer in the hands of these psychos just makes me uneasy. My gut says move on.
I felt more welcome and at home in Argentina and in Scotland than I do where I was born. The people were substantially nicer and more interesting in both of those countries. The old buildings were so nice too, I’m a sucker for that.
In Argentina they prioritize social life and family life over money, career and material goods. I literally made friends everywhere I went. People just want to hangout and talk, walk, drink wine, dance, adventure and enjoy their time. It was so great.
I’m really looking forward to traveling more and for longer but I know I could happily live in Argentina. And for half of what it costs in the U.S.
Cool to hear that it inspires. I’m already partially retired so my life is pretty unique.
I was hardcore on the grind earlier in my life so didn’t do much international travel. Traveled the American west a lot instead. Have done a lot of backpacking and driven a lot of miles. But international travel is different, definitely recommend, it’s opened my eyes a lot. And I really haven’t even scratch the surface.
What do you mean you don’t think rabbi’s sucking on the freshly circumcised baby penis is normal and okay? 🤣🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I’m going to Greece for a 2 week island hopping trip in May.
But I have two other month long, multiple country trips in mind. Not going to talk about them until I have the plane tickets purchased though.
Planning some banger travel adventures this year. So fucking hyped.
I don’t think this administration will come after Bitcoin. But it’s still a non zero possibility. And the fact that it’s written plainly that the sBr is funded with “forfeitures” presents a clear incentive for them to take corn - and since they’re thieving criminals by trade it’s not a huge leap. Anyone who thinks adversarially can make those connections in 1 second.
Bitcoin was not legitimized today. Bitcoin was legitimized long ago on its own merits.
I agree. Austrian econ and anarchism was a huge piece of what I was missing as well. That and how banking and fiat operates.
Lead by example is the best way.
Even when you’re known to harbor information that is diametrically opposed to the official programming of the masses, when someone close to you sees you doing well financially, calm, confident, content and healthy with skills, it plants a seed.
I have had 3 people in my life ask me about Bitcoin after they knew I was all in on it, but without me selling it or even bringing it up for long periods of time. All 3 said they trust me, and so they had gained an implicit trust in Bitcoin, because they knew I was so deep in the weeds on it.
You are full of good advice today 😂
Almost all trannies will put out, confirmed beautiful 😻 😂😂
If opsec is good their keys are not confiscatable. If they gave them up then that’s on them.
There would be massive legal battles and huge blow back from Bitcoiner’s and cypher punk types.
Bitcoin would still work. New radicalized anon devs would likely step up globally. Spot price would take a hit but tick tock and global adoption would continue.
I know personally my resolve wouldn’t waver. I’d move out of the US and renounce citizenship for sure though. I bet > 100,000 other Bitcoiner’s would too.
