Whenever I get zapped, if my wife is around, I tell her: “Look, someone is sending me money online.” And she goes: “What money?” To which I reply: “Technically, I’m receiving satoshis or sats, but yes, it’s like money.” She retorts: “But why, why are those people sending you money throughout the day?” My answer was simple: “The answer is nostr. Just nostr.”
Now, she thinks I’m in some kind of Japanese cult.
(in her defence, she’s familiar with bitcoin, as we buy it regularly, but not with lightning network, sats and zapping)

I’ve been to Japan a few times (business trips). The last time I was there was in 2016. What was interesting is how few shops accepted cards, unlike the country where I’m based now. I always had to go to an ATM before buying anything. Is it still like that?

Smoking was allowed a few years ago in Czechia. Although, I believe the law changed already
