When I was in Brazil during the pandemic, the oddest thing was other people angry at me because I was running outside without a mask. Yep, outside. In a park. That wasn’t a respiratory disease; it was an authoritarian mind virus, making everyone little dictators.
I had a Facebook account with numerous family photos and contacts of friends. However, unexpectedly, I was banned from the platform without any explanation. Also, Facebook violated GDPR rules as I was unable to download a copy of my data. This served as a wake-up call, and I have decided never to share my data with them again
Luckily, I’m married with kids. Society was in a much better place in the early noughties
Not surprising. Society is broken thanks to constant victimisation and identity politics. Too risky to date without offending somebody somewhere
