ZBD is fully interoperable with nostr. So actually, ZBD speaks nostr. It’s like SMTP - you’re sending emails through gmail that can be received on hotmail and vice versa. That’s called interoperable protocols. ZBD is one of many using nostr. I understand what you mean, but it is fundamentally incorrect.

it’s like folks don’t want this to scale? You don’t have to use every new nostr client that comes out, but i think it’s positive whenever i see something new being built.

We’re building for an audience that is not technical in the slightest, wants to have fun zapping and connecting with friends authentically etc. We have info on profiles about nostr, but it’s not something everyone understands yet. We have a bunch in the pipeline and we’re building out diff education resources etc, but that takes time as well.
Remember, ZBD is not for everyone. If you’re a hardcore nostrich, this app is probably not for you and that’s ok. Every nostr client will be built for different use cases. We’re trying to help people earn bitcoin playing games and connecting on social. That is all 🤙

Originally the app was primarily a lightning wallet. Now we’re adding new ways to earn and connect. Nostr is not currently part of the sign up/sign in flow. It’s an alpha feature that we introduced early this summer. With that said, it takes time to adapt every part of the app on day 1. We’re building in public so that’s what may be confusing! But great feedback, I will relay to the product team 🙋♀️
