It's a perfect day for a winter swim in the sea. And a lovely new read about a fascinating early Bronze Age European culture - the Minoans. Have a great fearless and creative day everyone π

Is all the functionality you showed off in the demo video for living on a Bitcoin standard available in the Strike app for Europe as well?
Yes, it may be that they knew, that their body and mind ALREADY IS the technology we need to live sustainably and in peace, and to travel to the stars.
Yeah π A magic spot, I feel charged everytime I go there and walk the little alleyways or swim in the sea.

External pressure alone isn't quite cutting it? Why not in addition apply pressure to yourself as well. Evaluate yourself constantly, measure your abilities in relation to some imaginary scale or even better to other people. Create inner conflict. A recipe to happiness π
Seriously though, this moralistic self-improvement discipline isn't helping many people at all. In my own experience, become aware of your thoughts and actions, be 100% honest with yourself, but also forgive yourself, love yourself, be free and do what your intuition, your heart leads you to, not your self-punishing intellect. Be a 'better' person because you want to, not because you have to. And you will find your flow and happiness.
Great ππ§‘
It's fantastic to be out ... I find the bike is a good sweet spot of exploring greater distances but with the quiet of your own muscle power. I used to do some tough roadbike cycling in the hills and mountains. Now I'm left with a mountain bike which is getting dusty π Because whenever I feel physical energy surging I do some work on the land.

Lovely! And how about the rent and real estate π ?
Thanks, I already checked him out as well π A little sensationist at times, but he's right ... all these historical discrepancies have to come to the surface and gotta be questioned and explored openly.
I just for the first time learned about the underground structures of Saqqara in Egypt: Under the Djoser pyramid and particularly in nearby Seraperum.

Immediate question arises when seeing these wonderous structures: How on earth can one not marvel deeply about its origins? And for decades just get away with filling our history books about some assumption of tombs for pharaos?

It seems to me our collective consciousness of what's possible and what the universe and life is all about has been so incredibly limited up till today. I can't see any other way of putting it politely.

These structures are carved deep underground into the rock, unbelievably heavy (80t), the black granite stone so perfectly cut and polished that it mirrors objects. Surely, it must have been built by an early primitive civilization 4700 years ago with chisels, reed ropes, bull power and a love for lavish minimalist burial sites.
I'm so happy that from now on we'll be ready to reevaluate everything we think we know, accept a ground zero knowledge and embrace the wonders of open discovery.
"He's gonna keep swinging ππππ"

I wonder what's so funny and so hard to understand that if you want to have free speech in an unawakened world, you can't continue with centralized structures, else you'll have the same over and over again over the decades and centuries. So, yeah, Jack and we are gonna keep swinging!
Perfectly described π I started in Vipassana, but my experience is exactly that as well, that technique helps remove initial blockages ... and then you continue on your own terms, aware, with technique or without.
Happy birthday, Marc-AndrΓ© Leclerc. One of the greatest solo alpinists ever. "The Alpinist" is a must-watch. Marc-AndrΓ© exemplifies facing fear head-on and living life full-on. A true legend following his bliss. π
https://v.nostr.build/hE6lyykXCG5wtdx9.mp4
"Marc-AndrΓ© Leclerc climbs alone, far from the limelight. On remote alpine faces, the free-spirited 23-year-old Canadian makes some of the boldest solo ascents in history. Yet, he draws scant attention.
With no cameras, no rope, and no margin for error, Leclerc's approach is the essence of solo adventure. Nomadic and publicity shy, he doesnβt own a phone or car, and is reluctant to let a film crew in on his pure vision of climbing.
Veteran filmmaker Peter Mortimer (THE DAWN WALL) sets out to make a film about Leclerc but struggles to keep up with his elusive subject. Then, Leclerc embarks on a historic adventure in Patagonia that will redefine what is possible in solo climbing."

Thank you for sharing Marc-AndrΓ© Leclerc here over and over again. I finally watched 'The Alpinist' ... and what can I say, it's very moving and authentic. The essence of life shines through beyond any opinion and words in general π And that Brette Harrington herself climbed the Torre Egger just two years after his passing πͺ
That's great to hear you are also living that experience of connectedness with the energy sources and cycles πͺ To me it brings a much clearer, real vision about all the talk and action about sustainability. Thanks for saying that π No, I'm not chastising myself about it (anymore). Exactly, there's a variety of energy sources at our disposal and it's about the experience of nature connection, freedom and making the best possible informed choices π
Goood mornin' βοΈ ... after breathing session.

This program is for beginners and you can always extend. We tend to do a last 5th round and lay without breath as long as we feel like. This way you get some intensity, even as an experienced 'Hoffer' π

Challenging off-grid life lately. After months of drought, we are now faced with an extended period of daily rains and cloudy skies. We love the rains, but seems like our house isn't yet fit for these amounts. Humidity creeps into our electrics and our generous photovoltaic system reaches its limits (2.7 kWh panels, 7680 Wh battery). So after romantic days of indoor camping with mini gas stove, battery packs and solar lights, we now got ourselves one of these ...

... a clean-looking petrol generator. Can't wait to test it out.
So, this is what it has become, uh?! From the ideal of living without fossil fuels, we now look forward to a petrol generator π Energy diversity and freedom above all!
It'll only be for the next ~2 months with low sun and winter rains. For the rest of the year we are more than fine with photovoltaic.
