Thoughts on a 'sex worker' NIPS?
I think sex workers are the most consitently attacked and deplatformed population of people out there, from Craigslist to the recent Mastadon server shut down in Australia.
I think Nostr needs an extension to accomplish this job, but I'm not sure of the specifics as I'm not a sex worker or customer. I presume some kind of web of trust reputation for customers and workers alike, to protect both sides from entrapment and enforcement actions.
The reason I think this needs to be in Nostr itself is that any specific service or hosted database is going to get attacked and shut down and prosecuted. We need to put the reputation and whatever other details or components that sex workers desire in the decentralized messages and events themselves, and spread them out among multiple jurisdictions.
Something must be said that Google lets you de-Google, as opposed to the other manufacturers who agree with the spyware and other corporate 'customers' to lock down the hardware, making it impossible to get rid of that junk they've pre-installed.
I do think the book Softwar by Jason Lowery will be on this list eventually. The truth is that money has been a weapon of war by states for 500+ years now, and Bitcoin changes the game for them. We may wish states would fuck off but technology isn't just for the good guys, states can and will use it too, and serve their interests.
I dunno, Jim Cramer has some bad takes, sometimes, but he's pretty fun sometimes too... It cooooould be? Maybe 5% chance.
SVB paid out bonuses hours ahead of their collapse. Blame it on Fed hikes all you want, but these people know exactly what they are doing and it’s for no one’s benefit but their own.

And they sold tons of shares the week before.
Confiscation is pretty hard to accomplish when its not in banks and central custodians.
I wish they would. Try it, see how that works out. I'm not even moving to El Salvador or nothing. I'll stand right here, see how that goes. How much effort and money you spend trying vs how much it helps.
Make my day. Prove Bitcoin right. You'll only be speeding along your demise.
#[4] I've seen this issue repeat. I will have very little activity on Following even though my people are still marked as following on 'Global', always after coming back from being away overnight. It seems if I follow someone new it is fixed.
I'm helping.
I'm reading the Unsettling of America by Wendell Berry right now and one thing he points out is that that by removing the human from the process and focusing only on the inputs and outputs, efficiency and productivity, we get unintended consequences. Such as how a totally sterilized system which removes all trace of all disease would also remove any opportunity to build disease resistance in human beings.
Not to mention the how of it. The traces of antibiotics that disrupt your gut microbiota, the trace levels of pesticide and plastics of the packaging, etc.
When it comes to animals and meat, there's at least another biological system in all its complexity dealing with all of that shit first, and what you get out the other side is more pure food than the alternative, eating the plants directly.
AI is going to be the most centralizing of all the things humans will ever build. The more data, the more compute cycles iterating and learning, the better the AI.
There will be AI for everything, but only 1 for each thing. The best one.
They might loan you money for some local small or medium business. This relationship, and future loans, is best maintained by keeping your balance there.
I had a weird issue with Iris that cleared up when I added a follower, to re-send my contact list event. Also, had to clear all time cookies, cache, etc.
Isn't there something to paying
If you're not paying, you're not the customer, you're the product?
It's only half of everything everyone does in their lives. It's just 'market stuff', no need to even think about it. Those finance people will handle it.
Just bring more friends than the other guy brings.
I think thats a given. You'd want your post to be somewhere with light, cameras, other traffic. Alone in the woods, not so much.
