Contract product manager @ chaincode.com. Collector of weirdos. Write about building stuff, electronic music, biohacking, personal development. OP_CHECKGOODVIBESVERIFY

I'm at Canada's* finest music festival Shambhala.

Giving you a sneak peak over the next few days.

* Many say North America's. Some say the world's.

Morning - empty field

Evening - full experience

Jobs to be done - it's a methodology for innovation and product building

Always using that as a mental model. Sometimes as a methodology

Understood thanks folks

Three years ago, I built an Umbrel node.

Last summer, I built a node from scratch.

Today, I finished my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll node.

I don't like recommending technology to people without fully having used it myself. I often tell people to use Start9 even though I only never "used" it in any production sort of manner. I only installed the OS, poked around the settings and marketplace a bit, then stopped using it.

That changes today. I will be migrating my Umbrel node over to my Start9 node as soon as Bitcoin finishes syncing.

Which of the hardware do you reco?

What's the name for this construct?

Noticed that people are predisposed in desire to solve problems on their own vs delegating. Assume it's a scale.

0 = Will delegate it fully

10 = Will use own time to figure it out

Obv differs dep on context: plumbing, heart surgery, taxes, etc.

Fedi's looking for a contract product manager!

If I wansn't booked up I'd 300% put my hat in. Share widely!

Sometimes when I’m in the thick of building things I forget the grander implications of the tools I’m putting out there. Thank you nostr:npub1lelkh3hhxw9hdwlcpk6q9t0xt9f7yze0y0nxazvzqjmre3p98x3sthkvyz for reminding me of that. I need to make damus more decentralized and make it better at communicating with different relays.

A good mental model for this is that right now damus CCs every relay you’re connected to. Once its easier to CC specific relays then lots of new use cases pop up.

Maybe this should be more apparent in the UI, and less mass-CCing everything.

This is in the same territory as the gossip model, but the UX story is still evading me.

Love seeing practice reflections like these

Had a chat w someone who was in the Canadian Navy

Said they used red lights at night on the ship

And bright blue lights during the day

What's novel #biohacking to some is standard practice to others
