looks a lot like my last fight (a lifetime ago). Except that we also had drinks after 🍻
this is not so much about pubky as it is about the sentiment of the statement.
the quoted note is not "i've evaluated the tech and in my opinion it doesn't have anything useful in it". It caries an ignorant tone and dogmatic thinking.
as for pubky, time will tell as the announcement is very fresh, tho at least pkarr/pkdns can be interesting and have been used by other projects fairly successfully afaik.
I've met some people along the way
Some of them split, some of them stay
Some of them walk, some walk on by
Got a few friends I'll love 'til I die
I thought we are all here because we want to maximize freedom, not because we want to belong to a cult.
We should use all of the tools available to make a better world, and it doesnt really matter who or what created them as long as they provide solutions towards a better future.
We are building for freedom. its hard enough as it is to fight the forces of centralization and compliance without fighting between ourselves and creating new divides.

We are proud to announce that the BitBox02 is the first hardware wallet to be able to securely send silent payments. 🎉
What are silent payments?

I get more actionable health information from a single free podcast than every school and class I ever took combined. Schools are there for indoctrination, not to make your life better with practical knowledge https://open.spotify.com/episode/7GnVa4yO6iwuxjUOkfTreB
and it seems that huberman is becoming slightly more based and less worried about upsetting the powers at be which might lead to more real hard truths

I think this is so profound that that I actually spent time figuring out how to download the video from twitter to upload it natively on nostr.
I think I've found who I'm voting for.

now that nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev has some ppl possibly rethinking opsec here's a cheap hack - leave an old android phone in your room that has https://alfred.camera/ installed and get notifications if anything is happening. Its an easy thing anyone can do.
I'dnt advocate to use it for home security due to its cloud nature and videos ended up god knows where but as a temporary measure it can be great in many situations where you need some assurance that your things were not tampered with.
I've used it on travel and as a an surveillance system and it works decently.

well in this case it was a very technical person, but more importantly it shows a very big weakness in gpg as a security mechanism - both parties have the ability to fuck up or decide to break the established privacy because nothing is enforcing adherence to the initially established level of privacy
i just love it when i send a gpg encrypted email and i get a plaintext reply (with the original email text quoted obviously)
nostr has the potential to be the greatest marketplace tool for M2M due to the way its designed. We already have DVMs as agents on the network but we need more building blocks so that the demand from outside of nostr ecosystem can be matched with supply from within
