yeah that seems to be pretty common. it can be a tough language to grok
I had a tattooer that would wear one of those posture back brace things. he also had this band-pike thing he'd velcrow around his stomach and lower back. I'm not sure if it was to help with posture or just prevent it from getting worse though.
oh it doesn't need to. it's totally selfish. I did C in college and haven't touched it since. I write rust everyday. so id be able to contribute to that project more if it was written in a language I'm more familiar with.

it's not always the difficult. it really depends on what ecosystem you're in. rust and go aren't too bad. using a setup with nix makes it even easier. but if you're compiling anything built in c or c++, then may the lord be with you.
