No one likes every position of the politicians they vote for. There is a hierarchy of cares for the voters and this may be lower than other pro-freedom positions that they feel trump has. I’m not really pro trump, but I’m going to hold my nose and vote for him as the least worse option.

I’ll take the free energy, but I also don’t think it would break bitcoins security model. Instead of being bound by electricity costs, we would just move the bottle neck to manufacturing. But this assumes that the free energy tech is widely available.

Ocean doesn’t include them in the blocks that they mine, but other miners do. Once in the blockchain you have to have them or the crypto hashes break because the block has been modified. You can run a pruned node to reduce the amount of data stored.
Now that lightning implementations are starting to support Bolt 12 does anyone know if #zaps will natively support Bolt 12 invoices or if there has to be changes to the NIP?

Not really. Once they are included in a block they are part of the blockchain and can’t be removed.
You can run knots instead of core which will filter the transactions out of the mempool. But that doesn’t stop miners from including the transactions within blocks.
Remember that they are still valid bitcoin transactions. Part of having a permission less network is allowing stuff you don’t like but still follows the consensus rules.
That is a really interesting idea, I might implement that.

It’s a valid bitcoin transaction. Spam is a value judgement. This will pass. They will eventually get priced out. Until then they are paying the miners.
