Update: laptop heeded a hard reset for the battery. Tech did it in about two minutes, checked my system logs, and then sent me on my way. Glad it's up and running again!

Well, it happened. My work laptop seems to have crapped out. It won't turn on at all. Battery seems slightly warm, which is normal. It's been struggling for weeks with a noticeable lag.
I have my 10 year old System76 desktop still humming along, so I'm using that for now until I can get in and have some techs look at the laptop this afternoon. Not exactly how I had planned my day to go, but here we are.
It was always my go-to as well! My friend sewed me a bag with rice in it years ago which could be thrown in the microwave for a minute and used for about 20-30 minutes worth of blessed heat.

I have N been an Android girl since my first HTC device back in the early '00s. Switched to iOS this past June to accomdate Hubby, who is deep into the Apple delirium. I have discovered some property neat unique features on my new device, but man do I still miss my old One Plus phone. Apple doesn't leave any room for playing around with the OS or any UI tweaks unless you're willing to pay big bucks for them. Sigh. Maybe someday I can go back...

Hubby bought himself a new car yesterday. He's pretty excited about it. I'm just excited not to have to hear about cars anymore. 😅
