GM Nostr friends. It's Thursday! Got a meeting in a few minutes, and I'm not quite awake enough to ensure things are going to sink in. We'll see what happens, but I'm not holding out hope I'll remember much!
GM Nostr friends. Spring has sprung, and summer is right behind it. The grounds crew is in the neighborhood today doing their very first grass cutting of the season. Can't say I'm a fan of the noise, but I am very excited to see green starting to pop out everywhere.
Whoo hoo Wednesday!
GN Nostr friends. Nothing much happened today, but I'm grateful for it. Going to roll over soon and go to sleep in my own home next to the man I love so I can wake up in the morning and do a job that helps me pay the bills.
That ain't so bad.
I will! Never heard that before, learned something new today!
Today's recipe is my Broccoli & 4-Cheese Skillet Egg Bake, easy because it's all done in one pan. Hope you enjoy!

Nutmeg? That has me super curious now, I think I will give it a try. Many thanks!
My morning eggs were truly a thing of beauty! Can't wait to cook more with them.
Just sneezed and my left hip popped. I swear I didn't sign up for this yet.
I bet that room smells amazing!
GM Nostr friends. Rainy gray day here, looks like that will be the case for most of the week.
Had a pretty good weekend overall. Spent time with Hubby at the zoo on Saturday, and he bought me a trio of Hexclad saucepans as an anniversary gift. I felt very bougie making my scrambled eggs this morning.
Yesterday was a great day with Hubby's fam. Helped one of his little nieces put together a Lego flower, laughed and joked with my in-laws, and ate some delicious food.
Here's to another week.

He is risen indeed! Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Nostr friends! He is risen!
Church service this morning, then home for a bit before going over to Hubby's brother's house for lunch and time with the family.
One year married today! Hubby and I went to the little local zoo and conservatory for a while today. Got some great time together, and then had takeout from my favorite Chinese restaurant. One year down, many years to go!
Oh, I know it! Watched my mom test her blood sugar and give her insulin injections my whole life. She ended up dying from kidney failure as a side effect of badly controlled diabetes.
A couple years ago, my A1C was 5.7 when I was working out regularly. The most recent a few weeks ago was 6.8 and I am completely to blame. Just praying I can make some positive changes for myself.
Diabetes sucks. I hope you're able to live as well as possible with it. Keto diet is supposed to be an enormous help!
I am in range to be diabetic, but my doc wanted me to try the shots first and see what things look like before sticking that diagnosis on my record. Pretty much all of my mom's family was diabetic, so it's definitely not a stretch.
GM Nostr friends, and a blessed Good Friday to those of you who call Jesus your friend and savior.
Very gray skies here today. Seems kind of fitting for the day itself, so I'm not complaining.
Hubby has been struggling the frustration and hurt of some very one-sided friendships lately. I don't know how to help him. The poor guy just wants the guys he calls friend to treat him as such, and he just gets nothing back from these people. Makes me want to go slap them. When he hurts, I hurt. I keep trying to tell him that, but then he replies that he just won't tell me about these feelings anymore so as not to worry me.
Marriage is hard. We're at our one year anniversary tomorrow (4/19/24!), and it has seriously been a grind. I love him very much, but Life keeps inserting itself to make things difficult.
Anyway, enough of my personal diary for today. Go out and get 'er done.
Getting close to 10lbs down so far! Most of it water weight, I realize, but it's nice to finally see the scale going in the right direction. I keep telling myself it's going to take time and to be patient.
Opened windows for the first time this season. The breeze feels so good!
GM Nostr friends. It's finally feeling warm outside today!
Someone down the street is using a band saw and it's super loud. I can hear it clearly even though my office windows are shut. Must be that time of year.
Have a good Thursday, I dare you.
GM Nostr friends.
Another blustery cold day here, but I saw green tips poking out of the ground on my morning walk. The sun felt so good on my face.
Starting my Zepbound journey. I had my first shot on Saturday, and last night (Monday) was the first time I felt any symptoms - just a little nauseous because I had a pretty protein-heavy dinner.
Trying to remind myself that the diet and exercise changes and possible drug side effects are worth it. I need to get out of the diabetic zone, and then I can cut out my other obesity-related meds and avoid going down my mom's path that led to kidney failure.
Get out there and work it today, people.
