So is Cashu essentially an IOU that is backed but by a lightning transaction which is ultimately backed up by BTC.
So you can move an allowance across mints with lightning then trade on a mint without it needing to have a lightning transaction. So the offline-ness is because you’re only managing the IOUs of that lightning balance?
Or am I missing something.

Just implemented on-device encryption and decryption on the NSD. Now I can encrypt or decrypt by just feeding in the 3rd party’s public key and the content to encrypt or decrypt. 🎉 #nostr

Currently looking to implement it on NSD for on device encryption and decryption for fun more than anything.
Do you mean the device asking if you want to sign it rather than just doing it? Already implemented that 😁
Made a bunch more changes this evening including displaying npubs in their bech32 format rather than hex and starting to implement on device encryption and decryption.
You can already do it by using the shared secret, but think it will be even better if you have the option to do on device too so even the shared secret doesn’t have to leave.
