Unfortunately “I can’t unlock my wallet because it’s secured by multisig” would probably just as likely get you stabbed as “I won’t unlock it.” In both cases they don’t get what they want and they retaliate. The answer is self defense. Self defense is vigilance, which can be assisted by surveillance cameras, and a means to act, which is firearms.

I wish I enjoyed sports. They’re designed to mimic activities that we are hard-wired to do - run, jump, lift, track objects, use fine motor movements, dexterity, coordinate with others, etc. I enjoy weight lifting, so my brute strength is OK, but because I neglected sports my whole life I have horrible dexterity, reaction time and spatial awareness for my age at 43. My kids are all involved with sports and I press their importance.
I believe that at some point we will see privacy improvements come to the protocol level, and it will cause a civil war + chain split. Pro-privacy/cypherpunks on one side and institutions/Wall Street/regulation-fearful on the other. My node would run the privacy fork. Not sure which side would win the “Bitcoin” label by general consensus and market cap. 🤷♂️
I don’t believe Bitcoin has ossified yet. Changes are just VERY slow and conservative. Base layer privacy tech hasn’t been ruled out. I think the devs just want to make sure auditable supply isn’t compromised. No dev worth respecting is holding back on privacy tech because of fear of the suits selling and regulations getting worse.
