HLS video streams are made up of different encodings of the same video, some high quality and some very low quality. The encodings are also chopped up into segments so that the video can switch from high quality to low depending on the bandwidth conditions.
Here’s the lowest quality stream from my previous video upload:

Almost all social media sites use this format, because it makes videos just work without loading spinners.
Damus can make these on uploads, we just need a place to host them, as they are not a standard single-file upload. Will work on this!
Is there relay code for hosting videos yet? Could be huge for paid relays.
The current Supreme Court is the only thing holding back the Second Amendment from being reinterpreted into effective nullification. Just a matter of time.
Should be more often accepted as a medium of exchange soon. No volatility risk for businesses.
Perhaps socialism and restrictions on speech are actually the wrong track, and it’s not “Nazis voting harder.” https://www.axios.com/2024/09/02/german-far-right-state-elections-eastern-region
A lot of libertarian-minded Bitcoiners are so naive to support this big government buffoon.

Whether it’s Trump or Harris, speech is going to face more restrictions in the US, unfortunately.
I think regulators will force Tesla to reduce the tow rating at least.
Nope, watch the whole Whistlin Diesel video. They DID smash the tow hitch with a large perpendicular force prior to the breaking, but it was in fact the cast aluminum frame that broke. While this was a torture test with conditions not encountered by regular users, the failure supposedly happened at least once in the field with someone whose trailer hit a pothole. Since cast aluminum tends to crack rather than bend, this has the potential happen even more when the trucks are subjected to smaller stresses over time as people tow.
The frame breaking has to be the scariest issue for Tesla. It potentially results in Tesla being forced to say the Cybertruck can’t be used for towing at all, and it has no possible fix with software or recalls.
We’re getting closer to this fork in the road. California is about to pass its AI regulation laws that will place responsibility on model developers when the models are used for “nefarious” purposes. Releasing open source models will be legally riskier.

Access X via a proxy in Brazil connecting to a VPN outside Brazil connecting to X. Send their enforcement agents on a quest.
Switch to a nym.
I’m old enough to remember when liberals were the pro-free-speech side.
The most likely forecast for the next few years is MUCH higher spending, higher taxes, stricter speech regulations and 80% of the population being for it all, indifferent or not uncomfortable enough take any action. Without #bitcoin and #nostr there’d be little hope. Fortunately we do have these powerful tools!
Should see greater Bitcoin adoption for payments now. Stablecoin at $58k.
You’d think we would see lots of huge coinjoins from whales after Harris’s threat of unrealized gains taxes. But we don’t because they’re just going to comply.
