Great shot!
#GM Nostr. Today, be an open door that no man can shut. We were born for these times. https://wavlake.com/track/9b96075b-4fbe-4525-96b9-73f558f1fca2
Does it count if I was never on X?
#GM Nostr. Starting to feel like Nostr is an idea whose time hasn't quite come. Grateful to those working on it to make it better; maybe someday it'll meet the idealistic gleam in our eyes. For now, I can't help but be disappointed. If I wanted to post into a daily void, I'd have stuck with the usual channels.
#GM Nostr. I've been here a couple of weeks. It's sssllloooooo going. I've tried getting some friends onboard. No luck. Family has no interest. I get it. Not everybody wants to spend time on social media or switch from already entrenched habits. I'm here for the freedom, because I want to contribute to parallel structures, and to escape the toxicity of other platforms. I do have to say though that the "permanence" of posts here is a double-edged sword given the persecutions taking place. It's not like you can delete something that becomes dangerous to one's person. I think a delete functionality is essential.
I #justreleased my first album, a year in the making, on #Wavlake, Songs for Luminosity. Thanks for listening!

Songs for Luminosity is the premier album from singer/songwriter and healer, T ‘ Halo, featuring soulful, life-affirming songs that remind us of our Sacred Being. With a focus on simplicity and harmony, each song transcends any specific religion, but celebrates our True Nature as Divine.
Hello my one interactive friend on Nostr! Thanks for making me feel less invisible.
#GM Nostr. Time to write a song along the lines of 'two sides of the same coin' 'cuz all I'm seeing is a whole lot of irrationality and hypocrisy everywhere.
“The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate...Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.
#GM Nostr. The world is in dire need of the song that only your soul can sing. Are you singing your soul song or regurgitating opinion and insult? Are you "us and them" ing or uniting? Are you feeding on the drama or rooting into sanity?
Is offending others a necessary part of free speech?
Absolutely, nostr:nprofile1qyv8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnvdac8qtnnda3kjctv9uqzpaegm8nwwpyrtrnsjv84efjtp9mhpkvfenvxs487vx8d48y28qgxxgzsvk

"Is offending others a necessary part of free speech?" I have to argue the underlying premise. Being "offended" is not the inherent responsibility of the speaker. Rather, it rests solely in the lap of the offended.
#GM Nostr. I wasn't going to release thing song as a single, but after recent events, I realize that getting the message heard is more important that waiting for a larger project to finish. This is a slightly funky pro-testament song. I hope you enjoy listening and share it with others. I'll include the lyrics as a comment. #music https://wavlake.com/album/5ba54b04-8cf3-4127-ab4e-c0757d5142db
Lyrics:
They try to weigh us down
with rocks of ideology
Tell us what to think
and play with our psychology
but we are not that different
And you are not my enemy
Want us bowing to the lie
and weakened in complacency
They couldn’t care less
have forgotten how to bless
They're a cancer in the masses
time to revoke their free passes
They may think we are stupid
That they have us in control
I'm here to say it isn't so
Their sick psychotic minds
their blackened, ugly souls
hold a dark collective shadow
that no one wants to know
we must face our pain and rise
We all know that shit’s insane
Want us fighting all their wars
by telling us who we should blame
They may think that they are winning
that they’re closer to their goal
But folks are waking up
the human heart will triumph
there’s no way to stop it
We're gonna be free
from their rocks of ideology

Guns are the problem. Phones are the problem. Security is the problem. "They" are the problem. Fingers point in all directions except for the one that really matters and the only problem one can actually change...the finger toward one's self. Blame is convenient but a dead-end street. It deflects responsibility for our own reflections of the world and renders us powerless or radicalized to compensate for that powerlessness. The world is currently having to face its collective shadow. The Universe is holding our heads and toothpicking our eyelids open, "Do you see the damage you're causing in denying your sacredness and the sacredness of other? Are you ready to own it and change yourself?" The question is, who will?
Focus on their inevitable failure, not their illusion of power.
Hurray! Thanks to nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj7cnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qyv8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnxda6kuarpd9hzuend9uqzp3z2kmhwkwswt4wgmzhg9tadpcuhhhaujgqd0k8u8ms5560f7aqvfa8kzz for sorting me out. Here's my first release on Wavlake. It's a folky dulcimer and accordian-punctuated song about where we come from, who we are, and where we're going. If you listen and like it, please follow and pass it on. I'm new here and could use the boost. I'm a singer/songwriter writing thoughtful music to awaken, heal and inspire. Mo' music on its way... #indieartist #newrelease
