I source my milk from local dairy farmers I've known for years. Hard to get raw milk in Ohio, unless you know people. We use store also in a hurry.

One of these years I'm going to get ahead and actually cut a year or two ahead so I have nice seasoned wood. (so I've said the last 30 years)
When you make maple syrup the old fashioned way, you need wood to boil the sap. I started today after school. 6-7 of these loads is a cord of wood. I need 14 cord for syrup, 6 for house, 4 for shop. That's more thant 150 trailers. Proof of work. If your kids enjoy the syrup, show them this pic where it all begins.

Follow 50 people that post that much and your feed is flooded. I miss many others that post once or every other day. Working on paring those out but it takes time.

Days off always are busier than workdays.
Nothing to do with maple syrup. When I butcher pigs, I leave the back ribs on the loin. Hit each side over Hickory fire and then indirect heat from hickory till it hits 120 deg. Pull off and tent for 1/2 hr Rises to 140. Unbelievable taste.

Use of my homemade maple syrup you can buy with bitcoin. London broil. I subbed maple syrup for sugar in the marinade. Reduce marinade when cooking meat and pour over top. I used top round that I butchered myself.
2 pound top round (London broil)
1 c beef stock
3 T Beisner Maple Syrup
2 T soy sauce
1 T balsamic vinegar
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 t dried Italian seasoning
1 T oil. (I melt some tallow)
I grill this to 110 deg. Pull off and tent under foil. Rest 20 min it will be 125
