The issue here is the person making the claim has built quite a lot on lightning ⚡ so there is some merits to his position.

Lightning kinda works but the tradeoffs it makes are worrying. It is becoming centralized . The op is sounding the alarm.

#mutiny is a great lightning wallet. Non custodial zapping is off the charts

#primal is really smooth. Though can't create a post yet on #android but it's great to see more native clients. Options are great

Some exchanges that claim to support lightning are actual liars. Only kraken to my knowledge works.
