In my experience it doesn't work well consistently for any payment greater than 250000 sats. Fir all the wallets I have tried, only Alby works best consistently for payments above the mentioned threshold

You would need to create a lightning invoice of the amount minus 2 sats just in case. Fees is around a sat or so

It is relatively easy to withdraw through lightning on mobile on binance. Once you select Bitcoin as the coin when the withdrawal button is clicked, paste the invoice in the address input. The network would be detected as lightning automatically and you just withdraw.

I would agree with the initial statement if what you said was most people who own Bitcoin don't self custody. That's true. It possible they don't understand what they hold yet. One becomes a Bitcoiners either through understanding or necessity (being censored one way or another).

Consider this, Bitcoin is a currency just like any fiat currency people own. Most people don't identify with their fiat currencies but this is different when talking about Bitcoiners. It is an identity and not just some sort investment. There is some ethoes to the identity like self custody, don't trust verify etc. I might be reaching bit that's how I see it.

Isn't there a difference between bitcoiners and people who happen to own Bitcoin? Because it is easy to conflate the two.

Primal does a better job at finding trending hashtags. Amethyst supports more features though like live streams, blogs, community chat etc

Right now that's fine but that won't always be possible down the line.

In my experience #lightning works well for small payments <100000 sats consistently. for amounts>500000 sats, it is a hit or miss.

This is across both custodial and non custodial wallets. Tricks I use is in circumventing this is to half payments on each attempt.

It is good to be honest about these issues.
