Well why not try Fountain just as a user?
Just download and find your usual podcasts that you listen to there (if Bitcoin friendly then the producer will likely have published the rss feed there as well)
If you going to produce your own podcast, that’s a whole different ball game. First question: why? Answer that really well and you can put all the other pieces together
To create a podcast there are 3 functions
- produce
- publish
- promote
Produce - what recording software to use, have you got a mic, what type of podcast, how long, how much editing etc
Publish - where to host the file (YT, Spotify, SoundCloud, ITunes, Fountain, etc)
Promote - which platform to post clips and quotes etc to (C, IG, Nostr etc)
Fountain is part of the publish section (until their recent Nostr front-end update so now also promo as well)

Top 3 reasons:
- as a user: it feels better (I get so anxious on YT shorts, X etc)
- as a entrepreneur: I’ve spent thousands of hours playing around with audience building, tweets, newsletters, podcasts, etc, and the idea of owning your audience is a 10x on the status quo (getting cancelled on someone’s digital real estate is only a question of “when” not “if”)
- as a thinker: freedom-of-speech is the digital world is absolutely critical to a happy and healthy society (the evidence of the ability to censor online that was provided by covid-19 was terrifying)

Not only have old podcast episodes of mine continued to earn sats
But the Nostr front-end is absolutely mega progress as a user
You can clearly start to see how powerful the idea of a single profile across all apps is
Incentive alignment off the charts
Whilst the long-term network effects of this new tech-stack is mind-blowing to think about
Bingo. But to be more specific, people with content audiences, struggling to see the light, as they are unable to write off the investment loss in the status quo
lol. I don’t know the character. Not a trekky myself. But get the point, it’s all a big deception surely. Like Elon in many ways. These guys don’t care about these things. They don’t need to… (happy to be proven wrong)

Always been a big fan of Ross.
His insight on the future of cities centered around Bitcoin mining and cheap energy, wherever that might be, was a mad one for me at the time. Ie moving away from water and ports.
