I just read it, and dang ole its good. Coming from the left side of the bell curve, I get it for the most part. Bitcoin is speech. Bitcoin is a peaceful protest. Bitcoin doesn't exist without sharing information.

Anyone who says they're on the left side probably isn't..

Def ain’t right side

Cool that you inspired him to write this piece. One has more influence then meets the eye.

Should speech be taxed?

Bravo

Gary bear literally shaking right now

Always been a big fan of Ross.

His insight on the future of cities centered around Bitcoin mining and cheap energy, wherever that might be, was a mad one for me at the time. Ie moving away from water and ports.

Will read this asap. Thanks for sharing

You’re amazing Gigi, I don’t tell you that enough. Thanks for all you do ā¤ļø

make sense bitcoin is freedom of speech

Fucking aye

bitcoin's protection begins and ends with proof of work.

Always has, always will.

Isn’t Ben Lawsky (founding father of the NY Bit License) involved with NYDIG?

Don’t ask questions here

That’s gonna do shit… But let’s face it everything WE as individuals believe in as well ā€œis protectedā€ OK so now it’s up to us to enforce these rules. These laws- it’s gonna be us in the end that enforces them them. You do realize that you remember ļæ¼ā€storm the Bastilleā€, it wasn’t guarded by the Swiss guard because it had prisoners. It was an armament. We don’t really have a choice. It’s not about fighting. It’s about numbers and doing that the Truckers did in Canada EVERYWHERE and it’s happening all over the world. I think these Israeli is trying to freeze themselves just recently. but the point is everywhere where they put in bricks or central bank digital currency causes this uprising so thank God for bitcoin.

Listened to nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u's excellent narration and just printed this badboy out at the office to share with my legal colleagues. Very well written legal scholarship.

Love it! Thank you for that šŸ™šŸ§”

It was my pleasure. Thank YOU for writing the words that inspired the words I read. I might have to read your original words out loud next šŸ«‚

Participating in the Bitcoin network is a form of free association.

Bitcoin is protected by the First Amendment as both speech and an expressive association.

Awesome work.

WTF is an amendment? Who cares about it?

Ross Stevens is amazing. I wish he was out in the public arena more - I totally respect his decision to stay lo-pro.

The Constitution doesn't grant unalienable rights, like the right to free speech, and the right to defend one's self. Those are God given rights. You are born with them and they cannot be taken away under any circumstance.

The Constitution explicitly tells the government that it shall not infringe on those rights. If the government makes a law attempting to add conditions, or trys to dilute unalienable, that government is a tyrannical government.
