Viewed an awesome beach side house today

You could literally walk out the back gate on the sand

BUT

I struggle to see "value" anywhere

Yes it was "only 4 years old"

But it was built, lived in, and owned by the same builder

Some of the downstairs wasn't finished

The outdoor area could have been nicer

Yet, they want premium prices for it

1000 sqm of paradise

But at what cost?

It's like the physical real estate market has got totally detached from value

The workmanship was ok

But the design as simple as possible

Yes, someone had shown interest at close to the asking

But just because someonelse wants to buy it at the owners asking

Doesn't mean I have to

At best, if you rented it out, I reckon you might get a 5% net yield

Totally and utterly overpriced

Running a balance sheet comparison between a few future scenario's that might play out

HODL to 2030 vs take some profits now to buy a house (with & without leverage)

Ofc impossible to guess price and timeline, but still interesting to help make decisions

If I was the US government, and I really wanted 200,000 Bitcoins as a strategic reserve, I'd probably try and nationalise MSTR

How likely is this? Low. But still a possibility

Hunting for a suitable way to leverage Bitcoin as a deposit for a piece of real estate

Debifi is very impressive in terms of the non-custodial approach

I've also been a fan of Ledn from a distance (but never used it)

What's already painful is the short-term nature of the debt

Amazing how quickly hovering in the 90k range has got normal

Just imagine when it's 900k...

As content creators, one is always looking for validation that they're not wasting time

The hard part here though is one is not comparing apples with apples

Nostr is an entirely different beast, the only true representation of micropayments online, and most likely exponentially more useful for the "other stuff"

Ask the early Bitcoiners now using Nostr, and they will tell you how similar this feels to 2011 Bitcoin

So just imagine the digital censorship issue a decade from now...

It's like one has to be truly low time preference, delay gratification, and just slowly compound their efforts here on Nostr
