It’s weird how comments on comments under an initial note of yours don’t come up in notifications

Episode zero of my new podcast going live today
Got to figure out how to post long form video on here first
🤔
Totally agree. Need to iron out a lot of kinks before major adoption
I disagree. It’s an information problem, not a UX problem. Info travels unfairly, and most TikTok users that will have been banned, simply have no idea Nostr even exists
Admittedly it’s a chicken and egg problem in a sense
if you could reach 50mil people with a single post on Nostr, then the reach would entice people, but that doesn’t happen overnight
With that reach UX would improve
But Nostr is still figuring out what it is. How it works. Why it works. It works, sure, but aside from the pure hustle from some avid early adopters, there’s been next to no investment into it vs legacy
Hopefully this changes!
Ridiculous that a US judge can have so much influence on how people use the internet… great marketing for Nostr
Already seen people posting saying just the opposite as they sign up
Just decided not to bother with using it at all on new podcast
Logged in and just hated it
Yeah I like this!
A tried and tested tekkers
So that’s a10 year CAGR of 12.33%.
Australian Mean Dwelling Price*
2012 Q1 - $488,600
2022 Q1 - $930,600
A 10 year CAGR of 6.65%💀💀💀

Indeed. RE provides an illusion of “making money” but in many cases does not
Crazy story from what I’ve heard so far
M1 money supply Australia AUD
2012 - 500$ bil
2022 - 1.6$ tril
If your net assets didn't keep pace with this, then you lost purchasing power... Which I am happy to bet was the case for most people.
Equally hardly a surprise that Australian real estate does what it does

"It's more about being part of something that's awesome and is built to last and being able to grow with it from the ground up"
Amen to that
Said another way: low time preference capital creation feels better
Thanks for sharing
My wife and I are attempting a new habit: between 5pm dinner and 7pm bedtime, parental shouting is banned
Soooooo much easier said than done
Totally failed last night
Idea is sound though, in that a parent shouting only stimulates their nervous system, rather than making them feel safe and comfortable pre-sleep.
BUT
When the 4.5 yr old tests, tests, and tests you, it's really one of the hardest things I've ever tried. It wasn't the shouting and screaming due to not being allowed a shower instead of a bath, or not being first to get out bath, but the throwing of water all over me and the 2yr old
I snapped
Hit the bath
"Stop f*cking doing that"
Awful
4.5 yr old girl just crumbles into sobbing...
It's ok, we made up, hugged, I apologised and took ownership of my actions
What's been most interesting is the idea that our kids are our greatest teachers. Whilst what triggers us most is actually a reflection on ourselves. Often a lack of ability to express oneself as a child is a driver.
"Kids should be seen but not heard" type mentality rearing it's head now as an adult
We're aspiring to raise a complete 25 year old, balanced in all area's of life, and raring for independence. This includes an emotional intelligence only possible through authentic connection with one's primary caregiver (parent).
Part of that is allowing them to express their emotions. All the time. Any time. Shout. Scream. Ok, go for it. But last night was a good example of how it's not always possible to hold that space for them, and allow the emotion. Sometimes I just can't handle it. I explode.
Anyways
What a ride as a parent!
We go again
Sending good vibes all
Don't know, don't hugely care. No one politician alters my long-term investment strategy
Assumption: Trump will launch another altcoin project with XRP...?
How does that feel?
Serious question
I find that X, IG, YT etc, although feel's good to build an audience, you know it's not truly yours
Nostr however, is a different ball game, in that it feels like actual capital accumulation. They can't take it from you
In your case: what a great base to build your business from (and whatever else you might want to build)
So simple. So true. So much harder in practice to actually know what that might mean.
Not only is it different for everyone. But also, attaining a sophisticated form of manifestation takes a lot of work
Big part of 2025 for me
Lets do it!
