I’d like to think Wil learned a valuable lesson that if Alex Jones can get kicked off of Twitter, maybe Wil Wheaton can get kicked off of Mastadon. Besides, that wasn’t really his complaint anyway. He doesn’t say it outright, but it’s clear his real issue is with the Twitter algorithm, to which I think we can all relate.

And please give up on the “Little Wesley Crusher” crap. That’s so ‘90s, and not the nostalgic kind. If you’ve read his blog, you’ll see he’s “grown up” into an amazing human being.

I had an (admittedly incomplete) thought to build low-income housing attached to a defunct mall. They would have jobs at the mall and they would have shops and services close by so they wouldn’t necessarily need transportation every day. The mall could offer services like physical and mental health clinics. It could be its own little circular economy to a point. The risks would be it turning into a “company town”, and making it attractive enough to non-low-income folks to come and spend money there.

It was weird. It seemed like all I had to do was re-connect to the vpn after booting an app qube that uses the vpn net qube. Then I could spin up any number of other app qubes using the vpn net qube and they all work!
