GM Nostr. Time to get to work!
Freedom isn't free. It comes with responsibilities.
To the extent you want to create freedom-tech, you have to understand that it is going to come with extra responisbilites for the end user. That is a given. You have to take on the responsibilities that states and corporations were once doing for you, to become free from them.
We can make the responsibilities for the user simpler and easier, but we can't ever make them go away.
Being completely self sovereign, means taking care of everything yourself.
I understand the desire to make Nostr more accommodating to the normies.
That though is not my desire.
Nostr is now my home, and I am working to make my home, the most advanced, bad-ass, cypher-punk place in cyberspace.
I'm not going to be making tools for normies.
I'm making advanced tools for people like me.
Agreed that it is sad to see what is happening. If you ignore the grievances, of which each side has an endless supply, and simply ask "How do we fix this going forward?"
If I ask myself that question, my answer is: I have no clue. And I don't think that anyone else has any realistic idea how to fix this either.
It is perfectly okay in this situation to feel empathy, and not have an opinion as to what should/could be done.

GPU comparison using Stable Diffusion.
Being anonymous on Nostr is the equivalent of holding your own keys.
Why aren't you anonymous? You are giving up a superpower.
I did the same.
As social media fragments (FB, IG, X, TS, Rumble, Fediverse, Nostr, etc) does it become more or less important?
Love the dice.
Time to upgrade.
Ask and you shall receive. The market speaks.
A lot of people wanted to be able to buy #BrokenMoney using money that isn't broken, and I've been coordinating with Saifedean for the past month in preparation for his bookstore launch to make that possible upon launch.
On https://thesaifhouse.com/ you can now buy my book Broken Money in hardcover, ebook, or audiobook (pre-order) with fiat, on-chain bitcoin, or bitcoin over Lightning. You get a 10% discount for paying in bitcoin.
The hardcover version on his site is also a unique edition. Rather than a laminate cover, this one has a cloth cover and dust jacket, manufactured via the same supply chain that his new book Principles of Economics is.
Fantastic.
Excited to see how this whole space plays out.
