When I get asked about my time in the military in corporate circles I usually site "I spent 66 days underwater in a can not having seen the sun or moon for over 2 months".
That's usually enough for them to "oooh" and "ah" and move on to the binness of the day. However, every once in a while you come across a cat that's got way too many questions and you wonder "is he a plant sent to get me jammed up with the alphabet soup".

First world problems: I have two TV's with two different remotes. This stresses me and makes me feel unproductive. The buttons are indifferent places, so I have to put on glasses and turn lights on to operate the freeking things.
Don't be surprised if I "donate" my TV's and remotes in 2024.

Yeah. He had me perform some checks that #dogstr did not react to. Aside from the flatulation no other symptoms. But he's young, so likely eating something around the property. So need to watch him when I let them out.
I've become a bit removed from the day to day chatter of main stream conversations (intentionally).
But I've built a Zoom virtual office (VO) for my team and clients which very much feels like what you might experience IRL at the office.
In my world, I am big brother. I can monitor, hear and see what everyone is chatting about in there office. A bit creepy, yes I know.
But I bring this up bc while there are some folks that are oblivious to what's happening around the world, regionally or in their specific towns/clans. There are many times more people (across generational spectrums) that are planning ahead for themselves, families and communities. Thing is though, this group is not on social media crying about how unfair life is or how much free isht they can get or take.
Their attitude inspires me to work harder and smarter. It inspires me to be an example.
I don't do what I do to brag about what I do or have. I do what I do bc THEY inspire me. As others have done before me, for me.
I am in a very good place in life. Not perfect by any stretch. But I can opt out and just do me if/when I choose to.
But, if I can do for the next generation what the previous generation before me has done for me, I can feel like I've lived a life worth living.
Don't mind me, the wild ramblings of a tired man that's had a few glasses of Kremas by now.

I have had the same Vet for 20 years. When I was a young man and poor with two dogs, he made sure my dogs were healthy regardless of how much money I had or didn't have. He kept them vaccinated and gave me their meds at no cost.
So tomorrow I will drive 2 hours to drop off a stool sample. Not something I would ever share with IRL friends. 1st world problems and all.
All that said, I need to find a local vet for my pack. But will always be loyal to my friend.

Calls Vet (also a good friend) not likely worms bc he is fully vaccinated. But bring him a stool sample this week. A four hour commitment on my end but...it be what it be.
Fewer fights but when you had them, they were justified.
#Dogstr #3 has had a flatulation problem for about 2 weeks now. Not sure why bc his diet has not changed.
But the isht is vile and makes my eyes tear.
It's so putrid he wakes himself up, aggressively barking at the colorless gaseous air. So yeah, he sleeps downstairs until we figure out what's going on.

As a youngster of grade school age, I'd occasionally get into fights at school or around the block.
The only time I got disciplined by my father for fighting was when the person I fought was smaller then me. I figured this out when I was about 12 years old. From that point on, I only ever got into fights with boys/men that were bigger then I.
This morning I asked him about this and whether there was any truth to this thought or pattern of consequences I carried my whole life.
And he answered "yes". I asked "why?".
In his own words "bc it meant I was not acting out as a result of or in response to my lizard brain. But rather the result of a thoughtfully considered response (chess).
I thanked him and he explained to me how his father passed that lesson onto him when he was a youngster.

Certainly leaning that way. I had company for the Turkey Day week and they watched a DVD I had stored in a box in the basement (Sound of Music). If similar thing happens over the holidays, I'm going to cancel them soon thereafter.
Closed in July, moved in August not far from the trailer repose spot (next town over).
But keeping the city spot bc close to the airport and family can use it when/if they should need or want to.
Streaming subscriptions I pay for and haven't used in months.

Probably going to cancel most of not all of the above after the New Year. Any reason not to?!

I had a conversation with pops this morning about our surname and if there was any significance to it from his hometown and country. He explained going back as far as he's been told by his grandparents and great grand parents.
I asked Bard the same question. The Bard response had much to say along the same line. My pops has never used Bard or even know what it is.
Trying not to read to much into it, but a lot of "stuff" suddenly makes sense to me.
Our family elder (male) was my great uncle until about 7 yrs ago when he passed at the age of 88.
It's been my pops since. My aunt (pops older sister) is truly the older. But in our culture these responsibilities lay with the eldest male.
In my generation there is one cousin older then I by 1 year.
