Tis a long one. But just the sort of gut bustin laugh I needed. A bit of an inside joke.
A friend married one of the waitresses at a cigar lounge I used to work from (about 15 years ago).
He was 66 and the new wife was 26 at the time. Yes, that sort of stuff happens.
Said new wife was by no means a cigar affcianado, but she was cute and therefore did very well in tips.
She told us a story about a special, rarel cuban cigar that cost a gazillion bucks bc the wrapper leaves were rubbed between the legs of a cuban virgin before they were used to wrap the cigars.
The "cigar wrapper" for those that don't know is the leaf that is used to role the actual tobacco leaves. Think of it as the white paper that is used to wrap a cigarette.
And we (the fellas) would clown this friend and ask him if he's been able to get any of those rare virgin stoagies yet.
And today that friend and his wife sent us (the guys) this screenshot in a group text.
These are Nicaraguan stoagies 😆😂🤣 but same idea. She was ahead of her time.

Yes, ok, but it's a lot of work and usually comes with equal amounts of responsibility. So know what your getting into before you commit.
Know the real costs in time and effort and ask yourself "is the price OK?" before you commit.

Tonight I learned that I have 2 cousins that are part of that infamous XRP army. I made my case on how and why it's different from #BTC and asked them to learn enough about #BTC to understand how it's different from all the other digital "stuffs" out there ask me questions when they have smart ones that need to be answered.

The greatest tactician in my mind is my pops.
He instructs and then fades into the background to observe during the most difficult times.
If he were not where he was doing what he does, then I would need to be and I don't want to be there. So I get it.
What I do, I am able to do, bc it's a team effort.

On March 25th (@10pm) my mom had her first stroke.
On March 26th (@2pm) she had her second stroke.
On March 29th (between 7:30am and 8:45am) she had a 3rd stroke. The 3rd one was a doozy that left her speechless (literally), paralyzed on the right side (face, arm and leg).
I thought she was getting ready to check out and I was making final arrangements.
Today she is walking, doing OK with the right arm and OK with the right leg.
Speech wise, she can vocalize the Oh and Ah sounds.
In this video with one of her therapist, she made it to the end of the block and back.
I know there's jokes about her hair, I don't know how to do hair isht, that's why I have dreads.
That aside, she's kinda walking and can get in and out of her chair on her own.
Man, I'm one lucky some of a gun in many ways.

I've never been diagnosed with OCD by a professional But I have been accused of it my whole life. I don't know if I do/don't have OCD. But, I've built my life around what makes me comfortable, productive, happy and feeling fulfilled. I love my life.

Steps out of the house for a bit while housekeeper is here and heads to park with #Dogstr #2 and sister #3 for some exercise.
Comes back home to find cousin in the livingroom with mom (I haven't seen this cousin since 1996).
At any rate I bust up through the front door to find her in livingroom with mom doing hand exercises. Oh, and she was mom's phone gossip buddy several hours per week pre-stroke.
Turns out cuzo is a certified occupational therapist. She flew in from VA to work with mom for a few days.
Me: please take my bedroom, I'll crash on the couch for a few days.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Yeah, I'm one lucky some of a bush if you get my feeling right now.

Fear can be a source of fuel if you are wise in when you convert it to rage. In those situations some might consider fear to be a form of rational rage.
Rage bc your angry or frustrated would be the opposite of this and usually doesn't lead to anything good in the end.
Sometimes "rational rage" can be mistaken for courage. Right or wrong, I don't know, but that's my philosophy. Prove it false.
I don't consider myself to be courageous. Not in any way that really matters. But I have a very deep well of rage built up. I'm a little embarrassed to admit I love when opportunities and situations present themselves that allows me to release.
