#Bitcoin is not just an investment. It’s an entirely new way of life.

#Real estate is a terrible investment unless you plan on living on/in it yourself.

There are no assets less portable, expensive to maintain, harder to sell, or easier to confiscate than real estate.

#bitcoin>>>>real estate

One day people will talk with sheer incredulity about the fact that people could purchase #bitcoin (on the main chain even) with fiat.

I already don’t accept Fiat in exchange for #Bitcoin. Why would anyone if they truly understand the difference?

If they’re only on twitter then those of us only on #nostr don’t know about them and likely don’t care to.

To give them the benefit of the doubt though, they may be trying to reach a wider audience for adoption purposes (and that’s great) but if they aren’t also vigorously participating on a decentralized platform, I am suspicious that their motives are more likely selfish as opposed to altruistic.

Everything is bullish for #bitcoin because it works great as it is. It is not waiting for some future state to fulfill its purpose. It is just waiting for you to realize what it can truly do for you.

Consider the following:

The federal reserve has absolutely no bearing on bitcoin’s ability to separate money from the state.

The federal reserve has absolutely no control over your ability to now exit the fiat debt slavery cartel.

The federal reserve has absolutely no control over your ability to save for your future with a sound global and permissionless monetary instrument.

The federal reserve has absolutely no control over you leaving your corrupt country if needed with all your assets intact.

I mean seriously, imagine caring about the Fiat price… Talk about missing the forest for the trees.

Fiat price is and will remain the least interesting, most irrelevant aspect of bitcoin.

#Bitcoin wins as soon as YOU give up on your dreams of Fiat wealth, and instead start measuring your success by the yardsticks above that actually matter.

You’re waiting on Bitcoin to give you something. The truth is that Bitcoin has been perfect since 2009. It’s just been waiting on all of us to wake up from the Fiat nightmare and realize it.

Humanity would be better served if instead of seeking out experts/prophets who claim “this is THE way”, we instead started listening more to those who claim “this is A way”.

The second you are sure of anything, you should start to seriously worry about being completely wrong.

#Apple, as one of the largest corporations in the world, relies upon the current financial system to exist and is very much an integrated/symbiotic part of it now. It is not some benevolent actor but instead a vicious and heartless profit and yield generating machine.

This profit and yield comes at our expense. The products they sell and the services they provide give us the impression that they are somehow interested in improving our lives. Like the most sophisticated of religious dogma, this is a carefully crafted fairytale and nothing could be further from the truth. They say they’re here to help but in reality seek to own and control us for their benefit alone.

The simple fact is that anything else is impossible for a company the size of Apple. The motivation for a monopolistic corporation to continue to serve the public interest simply isn’t there anymore once they achieve a certain scale.

The only solution as a consumer is to not use their products. This will mean slight inconvenience as you may have to modify your habits somewhat or maybe learn to use another operating system or device.

So long as the majority continues to worship at the alter of these corporate behemoths, we will continue to see them do the only thing they are now capable of doing. Exploiting us for yield and profit.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because the recipe is always the same.

No worries. Happy to clarify.

And apologies for the harshness of the comment. I very much concede the fact that the kid in question may be adopted or the product of some other relationship that you played no part in. If so, you have my admiration and gratitude for taking care of an existing life that otherwise may not have the benefit of a loving family.

But yes, I do take issue with having children on behalf of all the products of conception that are born into this world of misery and servitude as well as the many species on this earth that will have to make way for yet another likely unnecessary human mouth to feed. There are after all, almost 8 billion of us here already.

Whether for reasons of vanity, religion, or just plain ignorance or arrogance, I have seen too many examples of this choice gone wrong to be able to simply ignore what amounts to gambling with someone else’s life anymore.

It’s important to note that I don’t necessarily think you are a bad person. You are likely following some sort of cultural and/or biological programming that led you to chose to have children. If you have a well thought out logical reason for doing so, I would be so unbelievably grateful if you could share it with me.

The simple fact is though, that once conceived, you have little to no control over the life you are creating. Indeed, I have cared for many children of the most well intentioned and capable of parents. Your choice to reproduce then, is at least at some level, quite irresponsible as it relies on some measure of faith as opposed to fact based reasoning.

As an example, consider that the universe doesn’t care about your hopes and dreams or whatever god you pray to protect your child when it introduces a tumor into their spine that compresses their sensory nerves and causes a short life of constant pain and agony for them. Is it the universe’s or some god’s fault? Maybe. But it’s certainly at least partially that of the parents as well. You have free will and having children is a choice. Your biological child didn’t need to exist.

I may view things differently if there was a shortage of humans and if I accepted the premise that we have some cosmic duty to breed. Given that any such beliefs cannot be proven however, I again would feel irresponsible to make a decision about someone else’s life on that basis alone.

Anyway, what’s done is done when it comes to your kids so this is all a moot point at best. I truly do wish them and you well. I commend you for at least recognizing that the cultural programming that western children receive in traditional schools is deeply flawed.

If you have made it this far, thank you for reading this. God knows it would be a hard pill to swallow if anything here resonates with you. For what it’s worth, I have no idea if I’m right or wrong about any of this. Just another opinion out there in a sea of human consciousness. If Nostr isn’t good for subjecting us to opinions that we don’t like or disagree with though, is there any point to this at all?

Happy if you found something that takes the sting out of the emptiness of existence for you.

Just fyi though - humans can still be happy and not need to tell themselves such things.

I’m not saying I’m right, I don’t have to be. But can your belief system accept the concept that you may be wrong too?
