Nice! I love Glacier. Avalanche lake trail is short and not much of a workout but worth it if you feel like a little further of a drive.

Otherwise, Danny On trail on Big Mountain just outside Whitefish is a great 3-4 hr hike up and down to/from Summit House that’ll make you sweat.

Good luck with all that. Legitimately hope it works out well for all the lives affected by your decisions.

I myself would actually be quite entertained any place where birthing is being discussed as a good thing.

I may get out of any body of water where such discussions are ongoing though. Bleh. :(

It’s nice we can all have such different ways of seeing the world.

From Spark to Blaze: The Simple System for Success

I hear it all the time: What's the secret to success? Is there some magic formula?

After a couple of decades in the trenches, here's what I've figured out. Success is simple. It's like starting a fire. You've got your tinder, your kindling, your fuel wood. You don't just throw a match at a log and expect it to burst into flames, right? You've got to build it up, step by step.

First, the tinder. That's your passion, your spark. It's that thing that lights you up, gets you out of bed in the morning. Without it, you're just going through the motions. Find your tinder, and you've got your start.

Next, the kindling. That's your skills, your knowledge. You can't expect to succeed without putting in the work, without learning your craft. You've got to feed that initial spark with something substantial, or it'll fizzle out.

Then, the fuel wood. That's your perseverance, your grit. This is what keeps the fire going, what turns a spark into a roaring blaze. You've got to keep feeding the fire, keep pushing, even when things get tough.

Follow this system, and you'll get your fire. You'll get your success. It might not look exactly like you pictured it. Hell, it might be better.

But here's the thing: You can't cheat the system. You can't skip the kindling and go straight to the fuel wood. You can't ignore the tinder and expect the kindling to light itself. It doesn't work that way.

And all those "get rich quick" schemes? Total bullshit. They're like trying to start a fire with wet wood. You might get a few sparks, but it's not going to last.

So, find your tinder. Build your kindling. Feed your fire. And remember, USE GOOD, HIGH-QUALITY WOOD.

If you follow this system, if you put in the time and the effort, you'll find success. You'll find yourself achieving more than you ever thought possible, and you'll do it without even thinking about it. Why? Because success, like a good fire, is all about the system.

How are you defining “success” here?

Financial?

Yes, that’s important. But there are many financially successful people who have never had an original thought in their lives.

I would argue that a successful life comes from facing the grim realities of the pointlessness of existence head on (and as soon as possible), and still finding ways to make the best of it.

This is the only way to truly be resilient when life inevitably doesn’t go the way you and your foolish but well-intentioned parents had hoped.

After seeing countless people die over the years, I can tell you the end of human life is extremely consistent from one to the next. No amount of political or religious fervor can save a person from the realization at the end that it was all meaningless and unnecessary from the start.

Telling ourselves differently, often for our whole lives, is the greatest and most harmful lie of all.

So much social programming. This picture makes me so sad for that helpless little person.

I wish your children well, but statistically speaking, they will just become obedient captives to a system that will exploit every ounce of productivity from them as possible before they die.

And no, it’s not necessarily going to be worth it for the “joys” they will somehow experience, since for every joy will come the same possibility of great suffering.

You did that to them. And you didn’t have to.

Sorry to be a downer but hey, I’m just an asshole internet stranger right? Should be simple enough to dismiss what I say.

It’s crazy isn’t it?

People will still happily impose this death sentence on others though to satisfy their own vanity, base animal instincts, and arrogance. “My child will be different!” they say.

I view childbirth as murder with a life long prison sentence first. That makes a lot of people very uncomfortable.

Just like we are programmed with lies about money, so to are we programmed with bullshit about having kids.

It’s all about continuing to generate yield for the masters and keeping us obedient and captive.

Bitcoin Crusaders

Since I discovered Bitcoin a few years ago, my work ethic and discipline have taken on a new form.

I find myself thinking about it all the time. #Bitcoin is not merely a rabbit hole; it encompasses a multitude of them. To gain a genuine understanding of Bitcoin, one must delve profoundly into various disciplines such as economics, finance, politics, technology, energy, game theory, cryptography, and more. These topics are fundamentally academic and intellectual in nature. Simultaneously, your journey into Bitcoin touches your very core. It makes you question certain beliefs, your morals, and your perception of the world.

As you delve deeper into the world of Bitcoin, it instills a profound shift in mindset, specifically transitioning one from a high time preference to a low time preference. Bitcoin's inherent characteristics of limited supply, decentralization, and long-term value preservation encourage individuals to prioritize future-oriented thinking and patience over immediate gratification. This shift in mindset promotes a greater appreciation for saving, investing, and planning for the long-term, aligning one's actions with the principles of financial responsibility and self-sovereignty.

Moreover, this newfound perspective is complemented by an undeniable flame that ignites within – hope. Though often unspoken, we can collectively acknowledge the pervasive sense of despair that exists in the world. Bitcoin dissolves that despair and recasts it into hopefulness. It represents a transformative force, providing an alternative to the unjust and corrupt systems that permeate our society.

Combined with the knowledge acquired on this journey, you become a truth-seeking, freedom-fighting crusader on a mission to abolish the chains of an unjust and corrupt system. Bitcoin empowers individuals to take control of their financial destiny, promoting transparency, inclusivity, and the decentralization of power.

But… but… fiat price!!! /s

The ability of #nostr to merge the social network layer with the monetary layer is truly game-changing.

Earlier today I needed to pay nostr:npub1hqaz3dlyuhfqhktqchawke39l92jj9nt30dsgh2zvd9z7dv3j3gqpkt56s for a medieval dinner we had in Prague…

I didn’t have to use Venmo or Paypal (or even ask him for a Lightning invoice) — I just went to his profile on nostr and zapped him #bitcoin

I have an easy way to pay friends anywhere in the world (without dozens of intermediaries taking a cut) and he gets the hardest form of money ever discovered sent directly to him at the speed of light.

Beautiful ⚡️

It is beautiful.

The potential for P2P #bitcoin payments on an anonymous platform such as this is a singularly dangerous concept for the legacy financial system though.

I fully expect them to fight this tooth and nail, with threats of prison for money transmission, calls for removal of pedophiles and terrorists, yada yada yada. All the usual charades.

The best part is watching them chase their tails, now going after the exchanges, and essentially forcing people (who now have a taste for freedom and privacy) to use even more anonymous methods.

The veil is lifted for many of us. They can’t hide their abuse anymore.

The war is underway.

Useful for explaining the murderous rage you feel to others. :)

Good night you hot tamales. Never say never. Xenophobes know what Jesuits Jesus impressed in the river.

Am I close??? :)
