Aren't they also using signals CDN settings?

Amazing and disturbing.

Basically: You can determine a Discord/Signal user's location by simply sending them a Discord/Signal attachment (with 0 clicks).

Zaps are going to my self-hosted node, btcpay should be NIP-57 compatible afaik, will check.

You know you fucked up when Louis Rossmann makes two videos in a row about your company.

Decentralize Bitcoin Mining – one #Bitaxe a time 🔥💜

Having recognized that the Bitaxe Gamma is out of stock at most European shops right now, let's have a look at the pros and cons of the Bitaxe Supra:

Pros:

- cheaper than the Bitaxe Gamma (€115 vs. €185 at GoBrrr)

- equipped with a Noctua fan, almost silent (I'm very sensitive regarding noise and was actually surprised by the low noise level of my Supra)

- high availability in shops

- slightly lower power consumption than the Gamma

Cons:

- lower hashrate (up to 700 GH/s vs. up to 1.15 TH/s)

- lower chance of finding a block (see hashrate)

Let me dive into the noise aspect a little: my Bitaxe Gamma got two Noctua fans built in, one at the front and one in the back of the case. As the Gamma has a higher hashrate than the Supra, a larger amount of heat is generated, which the fans have to take care of. So, the Gamma is far more noisy than the Supra. Why does that matter? Well, ask yourself where you would place your Bitaxe. On your desk? In the garage? Yes, you can lower the hashrate of your Gamma to reduce the noise level but then you would end up at similar hashrates as the Supra would provide.

Long story short, if you're about to get into the world of Bitaxe miners, starting with a Bitaxe Supra can still make sense in 2025.

If you're looking for a Bitaxe dealer in Europe, I can warmly recommend the online shop of nostr:npub1l5pxvjzhw77h86tu0sml2gxg8jpwxch7fsj6d05n7vuqpq75v34syk4q0n. 100% #Bitcoin pleb DNA, excellent 3D printed cases and shipped with love from Austria 🇦🇹

Großen Respekt an alle Mitwirkenden, richtig gute Arbeit!

How does this make you feel?

GM! Eine Node ist eine Nodewendigkeit.

It is still underengineered, lol. No full node as this is designed for offgrid use. Full Node will come together with the satellite we're working on, but that's a secret. pssssssst.

We'll see about that. The plan is to keep the cost as low as possible, but it needs quite a lot of bolts and hardware. :D

This was the first test of movement (at full speed possible) with the fully assembled gearboxes. Panels are not connected yet, it will move much slower and smoother in real life operation.

Give us a bit of time, this is still in alpha stage but we're pushing hard to be able to release in spring when the sun comes out.

This is a prototype and the movement you see is at maximum possible speeds, 16x faster than normal. It will never have to move that quickly in real operation. Still lots of work to do, panels aren't even connected to a battery yet, but now we know the mechanical side of it works!

Watching SolarBit come to life is so awesome, this is easily the most complex thing I've ever designed. Thank god I'm guided by a true engineer this time.
