Speaking as a Canadian American the joke here would be he succeeds in getting Canada to pay for the northern wall
if you figure it out i’m all ears
for me… deadlines, network outages, a kid, irl social stuff, otherwise it’s a challenge
thank you for this reply!
i’ve heard some harrowing stories of sleep paralysis, and this bit you describe is new to me. being conscious of what and why the mind is doing what it does seems like an important frame to consider.
will definitely try the free association on elements of the dream
and what you say about the dream being you trying to understand you… i was marveling at how stable one’s own sense of self is in dreams when everything else is up for grabs, so to speak. like i’m not showing up as an animal or another person as far as i know

I use stable diffusion on my own PC sometimes. It’s an interesting companion to drawings that I’ve made that I want to transform in some way. Also, Krea had an interface where you could draw on one half of the screen and get generations on the other half. https://www.krea.ai/home
this podcast episode is what spurred me to start again https://thisjungianlife.com/ep14/
the memory thing is interesting. it’s in there but it has to be deliberately engaged to unfold. i feel like it must have a connection to any theory of the imagination (which I’m not well versed on)

I don’t do resolutions but have organically started writing memory of dreams each night since this one (noted below) and every morning it’s getting easier. I find if I remember one detail, much more will emerge just by writing that one detail. Last few nights I get barely into the first sentence and a whole world opens up.
Dreams are so surprising and often so very strange. Pairing writing with watercolor is even better which is what I used to have time to do (20 years ago 🫣).
Right before sleep I ask my subconscious to send me a dream that I can remember and I tell my subconscious I’ll write it down. It works!

gm!
taking stock after solstice, looking for the path through my own resistance to evolve in 2025, trying to balance it all with raising a neurospicy and wickedly fun kid who currently needs support for managing school
the Bose QC35 II Gaming Headset has been serving me well for 2 years now. Wired with mic has been very clear, noise cancelling is great, bluetooth connection very reliable, can connect to phone, tablet, computer, switch, etc. easily
GN,
more than I expected from a part timer who took four months off on the summer
