Thanks for the response. I started by following accounts with lots of followers to get a feed going. I'll try the global feed. Which client do you prefer? I've tried Snort, Iris, Primal and Yakihonne. (on PC)
So far I find Yakihonne the most reliable, but maybe that's because of the default relays.
Can someone explain to me how ChatGPT could recognize my moms face just by using the camera?
I had only used the camera feature once before.
I thought my parents would be impressed by it so I showed them.
I started by showing my dad to ChatGPT.
I said that he was my dad and his name was Gary.
Chat responded with a standard greeting for my dad, which was not surprising.
Then my mom entered the room silently.
I shifted the camera over to show my mom and asked: “What do you see now?”.
ChatGPT responded: "I see your mom now. She looks lovely! Hi Cheryl!"
This was absolutely baffling???
How did it recognize my mom just by appearance?
My parents aren't on social media, but even that would be weird.
In shock, I hastily said "bye-bye" and went to close the app but before I could ChatGPT started saying:
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assume. Who is this?
I'm sorry about that. Who is this?"
I then closed the app.
After a few minutes of reflection I decided to ask how it knew that person I showed was my mom, and how it knew her name.
When I inquired further, it responded with: "I didn't know. It might have been a lucky guess. I'm glad it turned out to be correct."
Can someone please explain? How advanced is this thing? I thought facial recognition and profiling wasn't allowed.
