Gm! Over the last year, ive been setting up "blood" tracking trials for my dog, Pip. Last night I set a 500m long drag track with deer tarsal gland skin. I let it "age" overnight for about 9 hr and this morning we set out tracking it. Pip is getting more and more confident and effective in her nose work. Less and less errors and she knows to backtrack if she gets off course. This weekend we are headed to a workshop for big game blood tracking using dogs. So excited to learn more and eventually put her skills to use, finding wounded or hard to recover deer.
