#Mempool is very back to not-empty. Seems full of BRC-20 tokens (aka #spam). Nice reminder to be sure you're running #Knots on your node, and if you're mining, using a template that filters this crap out. We must have been a little too loud about how empty the mempool got, because the spammers clearly heard us.

This is one of those things I'd not dismiss out of hands but I'd want to look VERY closely at study methodology.

It does tend to form the basis for things like Tarot readings and ouija boards though.

#GM folks. Back to the grindstone for me. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4Ulq0kywqUwAuvv3IKEE_yYOXxBxpcmk&si=P30tJP2Min0TiDWM for some morning workout music.

Given her aversion to cold, I imagine the best I could hope for would be Texas. And honestly I think having VT and NH's mountain's close by might be more my speed. She's also a sucker for beaches.

Might just need to stack sats harder and buy our own island. Or go learn Dutch and move to Suriname -- looks like they've got some mountains, Carribean beaches, and soon, a pro-Bitcoin regime...

I think my dog might be building a pillow fort... #douser #petstr

Yea...I'd be in Wyoming, Montana, or Colorado if my wife were game for it, but am in the greater Boston area. Can't even park your car without having someone to pay around here.

nostr:npub1dtgg8yk3h23ldlm6jsy79tz723p4sun9mz62tqwxqe7c363szkzqm8up6m I'd love if you've got any source material on this fact to look to. I can imagine it being accurate enough, and it does somewhat reshape my though about duels (as well as prolific duelers such as Miyamoto Musashi).

Part of why DVM's should always be an optional curiosity.

Also part of why I'm a bit uneasy around Primal. That and the KYC zap wallet. Pretty content with Nostrudel even on mobile, just installed through my browser. Even has easy access to those primal DVM's for when I run out of new notes from those I follow.

Sipping some kabusecha by the fire reading #Bushido of Bitcoin on this last day of my vacation week before a return to the fiat mines tomorrow. It's amazing what a fire can do to reduce the anxiety of 'I should be finding something to do with this time.' Sometimes, 'being' is something to do.

Cost has been the big factor. Insurance pays if they hit, but not just because they're a threat (talk about some weird incentives...).

It's on the agenda but taking them down in this neighborhood is non trivial requiring some pretty heavy equipment being brought in, as they have to get taken down in pieces due to no room in any direction to fell them wirh just a chainsaw. Good few thousand dollars in any case.

The rescue agency we got our dog from is running a fundraiser contest, and winners get photographed to get included in a 2026 calendar they'll be putting out. They do only take fiat, but if you're looking to support a great organization, I can confirm they were wonderful to adopt through. #petstr #dogstr

Decided that I wanted to set up a P2TR (aka bc1p) wallet for my #Coldcard Q, and have realized it's not as straightforward as I thought it would be to do so with Sparrow, as I got "correct derivation not found for script type: P2TR" as an error when I just switched from Native Segwit. The coldcard guides don't seem to address #Taproot much yet, but I do see in a variety of places that the firmware does support it. Just trying to set up a single sig wallet here, nothing too elaborate. Wondering it it just needs something in the descriptor field, but pretty cautious about getting too wild with throwing random values around until I understand more. Anyone got any good resources that'd get me pointed in the right direction? Hoping to not need to read through source code and BIPs just to get the wallet set up... #AskNostr

Nice flip phone design.

And for some reason, "what we want" has meant, for the last 112 years, doing whatever England's power interests tell us to.

There's a special circle in hell for Woodrow Wilson.

My wife's not in the self custody camp yet -- still working on gradually getting her to bitcoin only. That said, I don't see why you'd have separate nodes. The one consideration I'd see is that you'd want to probably select something like Electrs instead of say, EPS for an electrum server, as EPS needs to do a full resync each time you add a wallet, so Electrs is more suited to multiple users (especially if you think you may be adding little hodlers into the mix...).
