For the moment, let's leave religion out of this discussion. I will come back to it later. All Humans(people), by nature, have the same rights; not dependent on when, where, how, or what gender they are born. These Rights supersede all national affiliations and national laws. These are natural laws. They existed before there were governments and will remain after. First and foremost, All people own themselves. All people are entitled to the fruits of their own labor. All associations, transactions, contracts, agreements, sales, etc. of Any kind, for Any reason must be voluntary. (Non-Aggression Principle or NAP - Aggression/Coercion should not be used to force anyone to do, say, or agree to Anything. The ONLY time aggression may be used is in the defense of the life and rights of yourself (or others) from another party initiating aggression.) Theft of any kind is wrong. These represent my ETHICAL stance on way human society should be. I understand that this model of society does not exist on any large scale today and may not come to exist in my lifetime, but this is something to strive towards. _________________ So, what does this mean and how did I come to these beliefs? Human beings, by nature, have the right of Self Ownership: Nobody else can decide for you how you should live your life. Only You can decide what's best for you. There is no other person, no human authority, higher than yourself in your life. If you own yourself, then every other human being also has that same Self-Ownership. Therefore, You have No right to act as an authority on someone else's life without their consent. You can not tell someone else how to live their life without their consent. You can not use force or coercion on another person in any way, except in the defense of the life or property of another. THINK HARD HERE IF You have no RIGHT to dictate to the life of another person, THEN you have no ability to convey that right to somebody else (e.g. through an election, etc.) For Example: You have no RIGHT to take something that is mine. Since you don't have the RIGHT to take my stuff, you can not give that right to someone else to use on your behalf. So, you can not bestow the RIGHT (which we have already decided you don't have) on the government and call it a Tax. The concept of governance is that the people being governed confer their rights upon authority figures to act on their behalf VOLUNTARILY. But, you can only give what you already have. You CAN NOT confer to another person a right that you do not already have to use/exercise on your behalf. If you are NOT a voluntary participant in a nation, an agent of the government (tax collector, police officer, etc.) can not legitimately come to your house and have the RIGHT to take your stuff because nobody who voted for this person or put that person in charge had the authority to grant that right to begin with. Voluntary Associations: No person should be forced to participate in anything that they do not want to be a part of. That includes but is not limited to: Governments Religions Marriages Armed Forces Businesses Clubs or ANY OTHER group or activity for any reason. If you agree with these beliefs, if you share this ETHICAL stance then you might be surprised to know that you are an Anarchist/Voluntaryist. _______________ I used to say that I am proud to be an American. You can be proud of the people in your country, proud of the accomplishments and advances her people have made, and at the same time recognize that there are flaws inherent to the system. I think that our country was founded on good principles, but, over the years, these principles have been sidelined by the corporate and political interests of this world. At the time this country was conceived there were a great many difficulties to be overcome but there were fewer rules and laws. We believed in individual liberty and created a nation to protect that liberty. The founders did their best, but just as with all other things in this world, advances have been made and new ways of thinking have emerged. The founders did what they thought necessary at the time, but I highly doubt that they would be pleased at what their creation has become. Now, instead of listing the things we are Not allowed to do, it seems we list the things we Are allowed to do. The laws and regulations in place today are oppressive, tyrannical, and unnecessary. The "taxes" the government steals from us are excessive. The "taxes" collected from us are not put to good or even effective use. The use of our armed forces to promote our ECONOMIC interests is deplorable. Our whole system is CORRUPT. IN SHORT, we have turned into the very monster we fought so hard to escape. This Country is in dire need of a MAJOR shift in the way we do things. It is inevitable. If we don't fix the problem, the whole system is going to burn down on its own. And on its way down we will lose more and more of our liberty until it gets to the point where ANYTHING that the powers-that-be offer us will be better than our current situation. I believe that it is still possible to make a difference from within the system, but that it will not happen, so I prepare for the worst. The average American is blind to the problem. The average person cares less about freedom and more about security. Most people these days won't complain unless there is some major shift from their comfort zone. The average person would rather be told what to do than take control of their own fate, make their own decisions, and live with the consequences. They are Sheep. ___________ I am a Christian, not because my family is Christian or because all the cool people are Christian, but because I made that choice for myself after deep thought and study on the subject. Nobody forced me to make this decision. It is not POSSIBLE to force someone to be Christian/Muslim/Buddhist/etc. It is a belief one has. ________________ Do I think that there should be laws prohibiting behavior that I find immoral? Insofar as it does not involve anyone else or their property then No. 1) Speaking specifically about the United States: There is a very clear doctrine from the very beginning of the country that there shall be no officially sanctioned and endorsed religion in the USA. This creates a problem for the enacting and enforcing of laws that are based on moral principles based upon religious teachings and context. Which religion is to be the model for governmental morality? Christianity? Islam? Buddhism? To base a law on "Morality" is in direct conflict with our founding principles. There are many behaviors that I find morally wrong and think are ultimately damaging to the individual and society at large. But as long as those behaviors, decisions, and actions are confined to oneself and other voluntary participants then I do not think the government should be able to declare them legal or illegal. If you allow the government to base it's laws on a particular religious understanding of morality, then later that same government could later use a different religion as the model. We must base our laws on protection of life, liberty, and property only. Limit the government and attempt to prevent it's overreach. 2) Using laws to force morality: I don't believe in legislating morality. I don't think that someone who doesn't steal, simply because it it against the law, is a moral person. They are surely a pragmatic person, but moral? The moral person would not steal, regardless of the law, because they believe it to be wrong. A person's belief or lack thereof in a higher power is not and should not be dependent upon the laws currently in place in society. In fact, it could be argued that obedience to secular laws could make a person complacent and leave them vulnerable to a false sense of eternal security. I don't need laws to know Right from Wrong. __________________ Render unto Caesar... I pay my taxes. I don't want government thugs breaking down my door and hauling me off to a cage because I didn't want to let them steal the fruits of my labor. As long as the situation remains the same here I will continue to pay my taxes.

Correction. I drew the diagram incorrectly the first time. Here is the correct information...

The Five Solas are five Latin phrases (or slogans) that emerged from the Protestant Reformation intended to summarize the Reformers' basic theological principles in contrast to certain teachings of the Roman Catholic Church of the day. "Sola" is Latin meaning "alone" or "only" and the corresponding phrases are:

Sola Fide, by faith alone.

Sola Scriptura, by Scripture alone.

Solus Christus, through Christ alone.

Sola Gratia, by grace alone.

Soli Deo Gloria, glory to God alone.

______

Faith alone (Sola Fide)

Justification is by grace alone through faith alone because of Christ alone. In justification Christ's righteousness is imputed to us as the only possible satisfaction of God's perfect justice. Our justification does not rest on any merit to be found in us.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB

______

Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura)

The inerrant Scripture (the Bible) is the sole source of written divine revelation, which alone can bind the conscience. The Bible alone teaches all that is necessary for our salvation from sin and is the standard by which all Christian behavior must be measured. It is denied that any creed, council or individual may bind a Christian's conscience, that the Holy Spirit speaks independently of or contrary to what is set forth in the Bible, or that personal spiritual experience can ever be a vehicle of revelation.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths."

2 Timothy 4:3–4 NASB

"But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons"

1 Timothy 4:1 NASB

"And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?... And by this you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition."

Matt 15:3-6 NASB

"But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep."

2 Peter 2:1-3 NASB

"I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel, which is not just another account; but there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, even now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be [e]accursed!"

Galatians 1:6-9 NASB

______

Christ alone (Solus Christus)

Our salvation is accomplished by the mediatorial work of the historical Christ alone. His sinless life and substitutionary atonement alone are sufficient for our justification and reconciliation to the Father.

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

John 14:6

"But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ."

Matthew 23:8–11 NASB

______

Grace alone (Sola Gratia)

In salvation we are rescued from God's wrath by his grace alone. It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that brings us to Christ by releasing us from our bondage to sin and raising us from spiritual death to spiritual life. It is denied that salvation is in any sense a human work. Human methods, techniques or strategies by themselves cannot accomplish this transformation.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB

______

Glory to God alone (Soli Deo Gloria)

It is affirmed that because salvation is of God and has been accomplished by God, it is for God's glory and that we must glorify him always. We must live our entire lives before the face of God, under the authority of God and for his glory alone.

"‘Our Father who is in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

‘Your kingdom come.

Your will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

‘Give us this day our daily bread.

‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

[For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’]" Matt 6:9-13 NASB

So as far as the Catholic church goes: publicly, knowingly, and unrepentantly disagreeing with the official church doctrine by a baptised believer(i.e. they still claim to be Christian) is heresy, even when the Catholic church is WRONG.

Definition

Heresy has a specific meaning in the Catholic Church when it applies to someone's belief. There are four elements which constitute a person's formal heresy:[3]

the person in question must have had a valid Christian baptism

the person claims to still be a Christian

the person publicly and obstinately denies or positively doubts a truth that the Catholic Church regards as revealed by God (through the Scriptures or Sacred tradition)

the disbelief must be morally culpable, that is, there must be a refusal to accept what is known to be a doctrinal imperative.

Therefore, to become a heretic and thus lose communion with the Catholic Church and hence no longer be Catholic, one must deny or question a truth that is taught by the Catholic Church as revealed by God, and at the same time know that the Catholic Church teaches it. However, if the person denied or questioned such a doctrine, but in good faith, that person is not considered a formal heretic by the Catholic Church, though it is an expression of material heresy.[3]

Canon 751 of the Latin Church's 1983 Code of Canon Law, promulgated by Pope John Paul II in 1983, defines heresy as the following: "Heresy is the obstinate denial or doubt after the reception of baptism of some truth which is to be believed by divine and Catholic faith". Heresy is contrasted with apostasy – "the total repudiation of the Christian faith" –, and with schism – " the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him".[4] This definition and contrast are reused in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Catechism also contrasts heresy with incredulity, which is "the neglect of revealed truth or the willful refusal to assent to it".

To kneel in front of God is to acknowledge His sovereignty over your life. It means modelling your behavior upon what he would desire for you to do. It means emulating The Christ to the best of your ability with your thoughts and actions.

It means to make His will for your life more important to you than your own.

"Flowing through all, there is balance

There is no peace without a passion to create

There is no passion without peace to guide

Knowledge fades without the strength to act

Power blinds without the serenity to see

There is freedom in life

There is purpose in death

The Force is all things and I am the Force"

I think this is a more realistic way to try to live one's life than the Way of the Jedi or the Sith. Both overlook the inherent flaws within themselves and, in so doing, set themselves up for failure. If one is not open to the possibility of being wrong then one is lying to oneself.

"So the ATF has now found two men GUILTY of selling key cards, claiming they are “machine guns” and they are facing life in prison. Let’s take a look at what the heck is going on with the CRS Firearms case."

-Brandon Hererra ( https://www.youtube.com/@BrandonHerrera )

CRS

Here is a summary from another source ( https://www.jacksonville.com/story/news/courts/2022/01/31/youtube-using-gun-dealer-indicted-clay-man-machine-gun-charges/9250829002/ )

"Prosecutors who last year charged a Clay County man with selling illegal machine-gun conversion devices are now also going to court against a Wisconsin gun dealer who raised money for his defense.

A new federal indictment accuses Kristopher “Justin” Ervin of Orange Park and Matthew R. Hoover of Coloma, Wisconsin, of conspiring to illegally distribute unregistered conversion equipment, which the indictment equates with distributing machine guns.

The list of charges from a federal grand jury in Jacksonville replaces one filed last spring against Ervin alone, detailing new claims from investigators’ probe of his online sale of credit card-sized metal strips under the product name Auto Key Card.

The 17-count indictment says Ervin’s sales took off because of publicity he received from Hoover, 38, who regularly posts videos on a YouTube channel about guns and shooting that this month counted 134,000 subscribers.

The indictment lists 10 dates between November 2020 and February 2021 when, it says, Hoover promoted Ervin’s product in videos and referred to autokeycard.com as the videos' sponsor.

"Mr. Ervin was paying Mr. Hoover for the advertisements," Jacksonville-based Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura Cofer Taylor told a judge in Milwaukee Friday. The indictment identifies Hoover as operating Coloma Resale, a store which is a federally licensed firearms dealer, but in court attorneys said much of Hoover's income comes from his YouTube postings.

The decision to charge Hoover enflamed gun-rights supporters who by Monday had contributed about $110,000 through 2,700 donations to a GoFundMe page created to cover Hoover’s legal costs.

“This is really a travesty of justice and it shows that tyranny is alive and well in the country,” John Crump, a self-described firearms journalist in Virginia who also posts on YouTube and other social media, said in an announcement about Hoover’s arrest that was placed on both men’s channels.

Supporters cast Thursday’s fundraising effort as a step toward protecting gun rights guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment.

“I've donated and I don't really care for Matt,” one viewer wrote in a message to Hoover’s channel, operated under the name CRS Firearms. “Something needs to be done about this out of control government/agency. This goes beyond personal feelings and every 2A supporter should also donate.”

’They’re awesome because they’re stupid cheap’

Hoover was arrested Thursday, but after an online hearing Friday a federal magistrate in Milwaukee ordered him released on the conditions that he wouldn’t have contact with witnesses from his case or promote auto key cards, silencers or legally questionable firearm products in his videos while his case was pending.

During the hearing Friday, Taylor told U.S. Magistrate Stephen Dries that Hoover had been important for spreading awareness of Auto Key Card products.

“’They’re awesome because they’re stupid cheap’,” the prosecutor quoted Hoover saying in a video she said had been viewed 800,000 times.

AutoKeyCard.com, a website Ervin used before it was taken over by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and postal officials, marketed metal items priced from around $80 to $139 resembling things like a business card and a pen holder carrying an etched pattern.

The items could hold one to three etchings, each the same pattern.

Court filings said an ATF agent used a Dremel cutting tool to follow the pattern and cut from the metal an item that he inserted into a semiautomatic rifle to enable him to fire the weapon fully automatic — as a machine gun — with just one pull of the trigger.

Sold without any government licenses, the items created the potential of owning a fully automatic firearm without the regulation and expense of machine guns like one Taylor told the judge had sold at auction for about $15,000.

Taylor said Friday that Ervin, 41, who had contracted with a machine shop to produce the etched metal, filled at least 1,200 orders from the fall of 2020 until his arrest.

With some orders carrying more than one etching, she said the number of conversion devices involved was “likely in the 2,000-ish range.”

Taylor told the judge that Hoover’s videos referred to a “discreet ordering process” where customers could print order forms and send payments by mail. She said he suggested having the items delivered to the address of an anti-gun relative.

While Hoover described the items being sold as conversation pieces, “he clearly knew what the Auto Key Card was,” she said.

Hoover told the judge Taylor’s remarks included “a whole bunch of inaccuracies,” but the subject wasn’t addressed further before Dries decided to release him to await trial under supervision.

When that trial will be isn’t clear.

Cases to be tried together

Ervin’s case had been scheduled to be brought to a jury in April, but that will presumably be rescheduled as he and Hoover will be tried together and are both entitled to time to prepare their defenses.

Ervin is scheduled to be arraigned on the new indictment Wednesday at Jacksonville’s federal courthouse. An arraignment date for Hoover was unclear.

The new indictment restates most of the charges Ervin already faced but adds on top a claim of conspiracy and six counts where both men are accused of illegally transferring machine gun conversion devices that weren’t registered with the government as legally required.

Those illegal-transfer charges refer to separate instances when Auto Key Card products were sent to buyers who said later they had become aware of Ervin’s business by seeing Hoover promote them on his YouTube channel, Taylor said.

Ervin has been jailed since last year on charges that a defense attorney had tried to get thrown out by arguing AutoKeyCard items didn’t meet the legal definition of machine gun conversion devices, which the law treats as equivalent to machine guns themselves.

U.S. District Court Judge Marcia Morales Howard said in July that was a question for jurors to decide, although Hoover and gun-rights activists treated it as a cut-and-dried case of government overreach.

After Ervin’s arrest, Hoover had publicized a GoFundMe account set up to help meet the Orange Park man’s legal expenses. That account, which lists Hoover as the account organizer, raised about $60,000 in the ensuing 10 months.

Hoover had described defending the case as being important to preventing new restrictions on gun ownership.

“This case is insanely important. We definitely need to support him any way we can,” Hoover said in a March video. “…He absolutely can’t lose it.” "

I am a Christian and I believe that this faith is compatable with the my Christian faith.

Christ never advocated forcing people to do anything. Everything He taught focused on choice. You sin when you choose to do things that are against God's will. You are sovereign over your own life here on Earth unless you choose to give up that sovereignty to God and choose to accept His forgiveness. Even then, He will not take away your ability to make your own choices.

So as a Christian I believe that choice is everything. God did not want slaves...
