#nostr is #value4value but all #value is #subjective
I find it really disheartening when folks tell me that, and I ask why and there response shows that they just heard someone else say that and never really thought of it themselves. Responses like "its more secure" ,"its better for the environment", "that's what Ron Paul says" aren't reasons.
"well there isn't a requirement that says my product needs to be secure"
To be fair, plenty of "regular devs" skip the first part 2, and then try to find away to shoehorn security after the fact. Source: over a decade working in embedded software in a corporate environment.
well you better change its name so that Google directs people to the right one.
I asked Gemini for 3 apps to post on Nostr. In one prompt, it gave me a CLI app, a simple GUI app using Tornado FX (text field + button) and a Compose Android app. Everything works, except for a the use of a `nostr-kt` library that doesn't exist.
When I pressed about, Gemini hallucinated the whole library description and what the methods do. When I ask for the website for that library, Gemini replied:
https://github.com/vitorpamplona/nostr-kt
It takes some fucking balls to hallucinate something and then say it came from a repo that doesn't exist on my own username.
I may have a tinfoil hat on, but I felt choosing the name Gemini for their AI was specifically chosen to take away the steam the gemini protocol had recently been generating right before Google announced their new product.
So its been just about 3 weeks on this most #Mediterrian #Diet wathcing calories, sodium, and monitoring weight and blood-pressure for help to build a #heartHealthy life while living with heart failure. I've noticed that TUESDAYS seem to be the ones that give me trouble, goving over in either sodium or calories. I wonder why that is. There is nothing particularly different about Tuesdays than any other weekday.

What has the world come to that Debian is considered for advanced users SMDH
Is there a way to access #nostr via #i2p?
What do you say to someone who says the creation of the #fiat #FRN was necessary to avoid a #communist #revolution in the #USA?
Is he, or does he think you are?

I say this as someone who personally holds conservative religious values.
OMGosh, forcing your conservative religious values on a minority that doesn't hold them (or a majority that only CLAIMS to hold them) isn't liberty.
While it's obvious the U.S. federal #government must drastically cut #spending to avoid ruin, decreased government spending alone doesn't mean meor #Liberty and increasing Liberty sometimes doesn't cost a dime.
The US government spends 36.3% of GDP.
The Pakistani government spends 20% of GDP.
The Iranian government spends 12.3% of GDP.
The Venezuelan government spends 12% of #GDP
None of these other countries have more liberty than Americans do, despite having more reasonable budgets. They demonstrate that the US could cut two thirds of spending, or more, and still wind up with a tyrannical State.
Individual #freedom & personal #responsibility is far more important than $ & ¢. #libertarian #libertarianism #FreedomsTheAnswer
On #Windows11 when I try to shut down with programs running it will show me an error indicating they are preventing the system from doing so. It gives me options of SHUT DOWN ANYWAY or CANCEL. Regardless of which option I choose it shuts down anyway.
I'm about as #Libertarian as they come, but I would be less upset about #taxes if #Stargate was real
