So I was familiar with the term ‘Bail-Out’
My dad said it to me every time I left the lights on in my room. 💡
I also heard it ALOT around 2008 with headlines such as:

What I have NEVER heard before is the term ‘Bail-In’??
What is it?

A bail-in is when the failing bank can use the money of depositors, shareholders, and bondholders to ‘stabilize’ themselves rather than relying on government money.
Basically…
Your money.

I agree every generation has their thing. Bommers had real estate as their main mode of wealth generation/preservation but cost of entry now restricts acess to that for a large portion but not all of younger generations. Bitcoin has no such cost of entry, one of many reasons why is should win out over property in the long term.
It is worth noting that there is considerable inequality between people within different generational cohorts. I remember seeing something about the inequality being wider among millenials than among boomers. Suggests that the modes of wealth creation/preservation have evolved to favour certain smaller subsections of younger generations.
