I didnt go linux, i used a. Old windows offline device with sparrow wallet to create the wallet, then imported to portable electrum for ease of use. Many wallets provide the hash to verify they werent tampered with.

Things changed when i went from QA to half Qa half dev. I dont test my stuff to break it lile i should, but we have others that test what i would overlook. Definitely not as organized as it could/should be
