No, dear Vera.
1) It's not just semantics
2) opposing immigration is definitely not "hate speech"
3) Opposing immigration is not denying other people their undeniable right to escape their bad life circumstances.
4) Opposing immigration is not being a bad person.
These mis-characterisations are not helpful.
The other side of the CFA debate is equally fascinating.
According to Cheikh Ahmed Bamba Diagne in his very informative and factual article (2019): "The West African Economic and Monetary Union is the most... stable monetary zone in... the world." 🤯

I'll add this personal opinion: most anti-CFA activists on the ground (one of them is mentioned in the article) do not understand bitcoin, or share the same ideas of freedom, privacy, sovereignty, responsibility etc that many bitcoiners value. Their dream of a "Pan-African currency" is exactly the antithesis of what we stand for, I'm convinced it's a very dangerous idea.
To question whether people opposing migration (sic) are either "afraid of change," "racist" etc is definitely not helpful. Just saying... 🫂
War dort vor 8 Jahren wandern... 😊

"Wir können wahrnehmen — wenn wir beginnen, feiner zu fühlen —, dass unser Wesenskern, unser eigentliches Sein als Bewusstsein unbegrenzt ist. Wenn wir lernen, uns in der Tiefe unseres Bewusstseins zu beheimaten, dann gibt es im Kontakt keinen anderen Menschen, dann ist da kein „anderer“!" 😇
Honestly, I think the conditions for the IMF loans are equally bad for all countries.
Also, I checked the credit ratings, and in the African top 10, there are of course the usual suspects, but nevertheless 3 CFA countries!

This blew my mind!
Of the top 20 countries in the world with the highest inflation rates, 10 are from Africa! Interestingly, only ONE of these countries, Congo, in 19th positon, uses the French "colonial money".
Shouldn't we actually be thankful for the #CFA Franc?
Asking in good faith.
A great interview indeed, as expected!
Quite humbling to see how much work and time these two have put into their practice, and the results they've achieved.
On a related note, I appreciate their zero tolerance approach to the BS and the self-delusion that is so prevalent in the space, and by extension, in today's society. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that they are also bitcoiners!
In Cameroon, where cash is still widely used, there's a serious shortage in coins, and it's been the case for my whole life (I'm not that young anymore!).
With a 10k cfa note (~16 usd), or even a 5k note, you run the danger of not being able to use it, because merchants very often don't have change.
Ironically, despite this major issue, mobile money acceptance was very low for a very long time, initially because it was new tech and people had trust issues, but it is getting better...
Nice. What about just a few selected pics in the profile gallery, and adding a tab next to notes and articles to display the full gallery?
"After having to admit to the lack of scientific evidence for the accuracy of its software and the publication of an expert report describing the use of Chainalysis’ heuristics as “reckless”, Chainalysis finds itself trying to evade an audit of its software’s source code."

These people are insane and dangerous. https://video.nostr.build/8a8bd78985d678d25d4feddec8b6242ce5a0cd790a0cb04b742d1f1a3477238e.mov
On a related note: recently, France wanted to send their "LGBTQ+- rights ambassador" to Cameroon to educate them about the topic.
Cameroonian authorities protested, and in retaliation, threatened to send an ambassador to France, to educate them about polygamy (legal in Cameroon). 🤣😅
Other than football, nothing unite Africans more than their affirmation of conservative/traditional values, in strict opposition to western wokism.
Heya nostr:npub1llfht66qadyxv44q9rkmequztav07r2ufgd6ytl8w3wjs3ffa5yqy398ja
wow when I typed your name got emojis about my question…
i mWhat Taichi do you do? where to start?
I used to be a "form collector", I have learned two different variations each of the wu, yang and hunyuan styles of taichi.
In truth, I spent little time working consistently on my fundamentals, so I only practiced what people call "empty forms." 😔🤭
Now, I mostly do a lot of standing (zhan zhuang, wuji standing) in my solo practice, and push hands and body mechanics during my regular weekly classes.
Where to start, you ask?
Find two different teachers, research the system they are teaching, pick one, and stick to it. Spend the first three years working religiously on the fundamentals of the system.
Seeing GMs before going to bed or GNs in my morning time always cracks me up. 😅
I love nostr for this. 💜
I've just dropped off my little one at football training, and now I have an hour and a half to myself.
There is a Chinese dad who always acts as the sideline coach and shouts instructions to his boy in Chinese. It's quite hilarious. 😂
Last week, the coach had a word with him, but English people are usually so polite that I don't think the dad got the message. He's doing it again!
