yes, I am rolling out support for NIP88 draft NOTIFY.. This relay is past due on it's bills and so I have it asking for donations from it's users, in the hopes that someone will see it and either help pay or the relay owner will notice 🍻

I fail to understand how this is different than "NOTICE"

yeah I went and read it, but to me it sounds just like a notice...
there was some controversy in the comments on this draft, and afaik only amethyst has implemented it. as a relay operator, it was a very nice gesture from the client to provide a mechanism like this. I believe they decided on NOTIFY is different than NOTICE because clients can't tell if they should show the message to the user or not I suppose.
I don't remember which key I used to set up this relay, I probably don't have access to it anymore, when did it expire?
ah, yes it was setup with npub1qlq939zj88z5reu8tmpp9p0gn4f6ltxrf28grvk9an0s9rqesu5s2rtdy6 , it's ~5 months past due. No wonder tho, It was probably DMing your test account.
