why do people cook things in canola oil, peanut oil, or soybean oil or margerine?

olive oil.. or just about anything else...

much better for your health.

you're worth it, act like it.

if you're wondering about the basis of this post:

canola oil is neurotoxic,

peanut oil is heavily genetically engineered,

soybean oil is not fit for human consumption period,

and margerine is basically liquefied plastic.

your #health, matters..

Palm oil

that's a lot less worse for you than the ones i listed, but it's still not great. although its very popular where you live, so im not gonna knock it.

there's something i read about it clogging arteries, though if i remember i'll share.

Its the saturated version of it that is bad (margerine & its siblings)

Olive oil is excellent because it is pufa, so it literally reverse hypercholestremia. The downside is it doesnt retain enough heat for asian style cooking

what about using lids? :D

Haha. You must have not seen asian stir fry cooking style.

We need constant tossing

we stir here too but we dont toss as often. :)

i know the style. ive eaten at authentic asian restaurants :D
