Whats the best hardware wallet now and why?

Required features

- airgapped (microsd preferred)

- power via battery or power only usb

- psbt support

- multisig support

- taproot support

- bip39 compatible

Optional

- screen is nice to have, but certainly not required since verification happens after signing on a separate device before broadcast

- buttons is nice to have vs membrane style, but not required since used infrequently

Have you looked into a Trezor? I'm sure it should have some of them, if not all of them.

last time i used trezor was with a trezor one an it doesnt meet the requirements since its not airgapped

Which one do you recommend?

im interested in others perspectves. ive used

- coldcard mk3, mk4

- seedsigner

- trezor one

- ledger nano s

- some other test devices

ive not yet tried things like

- passport

- newer trezors

- newer ledgers (generally opposed for security reasons)

- the binance one

Binance made an HWW?

Im counting SafePal S1/X1. I've never used but interested if others have experience with it.

Any reason you didnt try Bitbox?

Because it doesn't support airgap?

Foundation Passport by far.

Hits all the highlights for me. Airgapped, qr code and sd card signing, rechargeable standard Nokia battery (port is power only), open source top to bottom, and a really great classic design.

Used almost all of them at this point cause I’m a bit of a hardware nerd. I really love Foundation’s work, they have that excellent balance of advanced features and still easy enough for Mom and Dad.
