Bullish AF
I built a pole shed a while back and jokingly asked if they would take bitcoin, both build partners exclamatorily said no... Wonder what they'd say now
I’m sure they are actively regretting that decision lol
What wallet are you setting up for newbs in cases like this?
Nunchuk + Tapsigner with extra keys as backup. Sounds complex but easy to use, easy to think “this card accesses my money,” and they can send me a backup of the wallet so if they lose their phone they can text me. As long as they have one of their cards and their backup of their mobile, they have their bitcoin.
I’ll give them what they need to ensure they can do it all alone, but I’m also setting it up so I can assist easily if they need it.
Genius. Which multisig setup do you use? 1-of-2? 2-of-3?
2-of-4 actually. More recovery options the better on this one. (Actually considering a 2-of-5 as an option later). Only thing that would make this setup better on the future is a cascading keys option with mini script. Too complex for now, but excited to see those tools get better.
But I’ve already seen this guy lose his phone twice since I met him, lol. He def needs a “many keys” setup.
Makes sense!

This is why it’s important to separate the wallet interface and the signing devices!
what is cascading keys?
Think 2 out of 3 keys unlock this today, but in 6 months it only takes 1 key (the other 2 can veto it within that 6 months), and if none of those keys are present then my lawyer’s 1 key can unlock it after 2 years. Etc
Basically time locks that allow different rules after periods of time to prevent the coins from being lost.
So which wallet did you set him up with?!
Bingo bango.
