#asknostr

I am a vegetarian for many years, who just started to eat meat again. (shout out to all the carnivores on nostr ;-). And now I got diagnosed an iron deficiency.

Without asking for medical advice, but rather human advice:

What would you do in my place, given your understanding of health.

Supplement? If so, in what form?

Eat (more) meat? If so, special kinds of meat?

At this point I am not (yet) ready to change to a carnivore diet :-)

Liver may be a good place to start. If you cannot stomach it, there are liver supplaments. Check out heartandsoil.co

This is absolutly grose and far away from natural. Not to say humane.

Grow corn and beans -> feed cow -> kill cow -> dry the meat -> make pouder of it -> put it in milk or water -> may cook it -> eat it

beef

and green salads

Just try to increase your meat intake over time. Eggs in the morning and some meat during the day will already help a lot

We've been #carnivores by #nature since the cave age, for over 5,000 years. πŸ–πŸ—πŸ₯©

What made you think you could eat like a caterpillar πŸ›πŸƒeating only leaves, and that it would produce good results?

I looked at the Spanish Bulls, fighting for their lives in the Arena's sand...

And watched the Silverback Gorillas flexing their bizeps to impress their mates.

And, I guess, I grew up in Berlin, amongst the alternative/green academics.

Where did I take the wrong turn? :-D

why you assume to have gotten a wrong turn?

And, I thought - I actually did - we are rather Omnivores. Is it not so?

"Omnivore"

-An animal that feeds on both animals and plants.-

Of course, but it doesn't say only plants.

For us, meat is just as vital as vegetables.

I think easyest is to just supplement with a pill. There is not much arguments against it other than one disliking to swallow a pill.
