Don’t know if it’s TikTok specific but there might be something about the proliferation of cameras that has changed attitudes for younger people.
It's clever framing of the question too. The implication is that crimes will be reduced. Like many changes society is being persuaded to adopt, it's "for our safety" or "for the greater good". Survey sponsored by HikVision? 😉

Most late teens and early 20s are *somewhat* naive, they don’t have the life experience nor the time to have rounded their characters.
It really does seem to be reaching new lows though. Like they’re in perpetual adolescence and unable to grow beyond that level mentally or spiritually.
Given the state of our surveillance I’m pretty sure the respondents thought this was a satisfaction survey. They probably saw it as.
“How satisfied are you with your panopticon set up?”
The education system taught that home prison & voyerism are okay. Lord help them... help us all!
